They'll lose all their goodwill they currently have with me if they make me take a 2nd trip in this cold just for 4th. Not cool, not cool.

Also, the pick-up email saying that they won't hold orders overnight is very confusing.

Orders will be held all weekend. Says so in their Insta post.

surprised 5th and 6th cans went that quick, unless theres more that will go up later. I debated 5th and might have grabbed one if it lasted into the weekend. Sounds like I will snag more 4th instead!

Looks like 7 sold out (in BK at least). Kind of surprising, I remember 6 lasting for days last year. I guess they have more locations, but wouldn't that also mean more capacity? Who knows.

I would think buying it from your comfy home also has something to do with it.

Yeah, it’s definitely the online sales. Think about it as everyone that would have been in line or visiting this weekend, checking out all simultaneously. Not surprised about the quick sell out.

Also, wanna shout out the fact that in “normal times” the release would have likely been tomorrow AM. Can you imagine all the mules/people waiting outside on the street overnight in 15 degree weather this evening? Wooof.

I'm sure I'll get quickly corrected if I'm wrong -- wasn't the 4th anniversary release weather like this? Not sure if it was as cold but I remember a few years ago it was exceptionally cold and it was the first year (maybe?) the beer didn't sell out with the line.

5th Anniversary was super super cold, I remember waiting in that line and being in the shade at times and debating total life decisions ha. I don't fully remember the weather for 4th, but I feel like 5th was much colder and more windy.

I remember just showing up at 1 and grabbing all the current anni beer I want with a 5 min wait, getting the re-runs isn't worth standing on line all night long.

When do FLX beers usually make it down to BK? Is it just going to randomly pop up (and sell out) or will they post it after closing for the next day?

This is so true. I get wanting anniversary beers to be special. But it seems silly to make an incredible beer-- one that is in the discussion for their best IPA ever-- and to decide you're never going to brew it again. I have a hard time understanding why. Why wouldn't you just make it once a year over anniversary season, even if you change the name as you suggest?

Perhaps they want to look forward and not backward, but gimme the basic recipe on occasion because it's the best thing I have had from OH...please, oh pretty please.

Anyone try 7th beers yet? I'm picking up around 5, will report on IPA (probably holding the stout for a little).

For those upset that 4th Anniversary IPA won't be brewed again after the FLX release, there is a silver lining: OHDC Zero Anniversary has the exact same hop bill and ABV, and will likely be rebrewed like all the others. It was also one of the best Other Half IPAs I had last year.

Anyone find it weird that OH renamed the old Bananaversary listing instead of creating a new 2021 listing? Doesn't make much sense.

In trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, could it just be an error?

Drinking 7th, sweet melon juice! As per their track record it drinks super smooth and dangerously easy for a triple.

Cheers to all but especially the crew at OH for spreading their glorious suds to new locales while keeping it delicious and reliable. I for one would have struggled this past year without the comfort of their hoppy brews in familiar cans to remind me of the happy times in the taproom and countless kitchen table beer shares they've fueled, which I very much plan on being a part of for another 7 years!

Yeah, sweet candied melon with some other fruit notes and a soft bitterness on the end. The melon isn't as overpowering as recent beers.
