As beer advocates competing for scarce and finite beer resources at these releases does anyone pause to think maybe we shouldn’t be purchasing these knockoff items made with the very beer many of us won’t be able to get due to limited quantities? AntiHero bratwursts? Great- no shortage of Antihero if you want a can, but stop wasting valuable beer in food. I need a bottle of KBBS not a damn KBBS pop tart.*


*KBBS pop tarts do not exist and were made up to emphasis a point. If you are thinking to yourself “I could really go for one of those” then shame on you for missing the point.

 

KBBS Pop Tarts don't exist, but I believe Toppling Goliath published a recipe for an Assassin chocolate cake somewhere once upon a time.

Lol - bought a Blanton’s from their website since I was picking up Coconut DR anyways. They... didn’t fulfill it. Though they had a bottle? They were going to give it to someone else? Who wasn’t there? And I’ll get a refund? In a week? Maybe? But I should check? And this took a long time to figure out... instead of solving it before I arrived. And they’ll probably have more. So I should check social media! Or something?

More money, MORE problems.

 

My buddy ordered something like 3 bottles of Blanton's at maybe $50 each or something crazy reasonable off Drizzly recently because some local shadester liquor store claimed they had it. They did not. They offered to substitute something comparable, which was shelf stuff. He got no Blanton's that evening.

 

yeah, and to be clear - the More folks were nice about it and apologized. But the operations aspect was lacking and they blamed Toast. I’ve had similar experiences with inventory control issues recently at both Goose Fulton and Off Color, and in both of those cases, the customer experience was much nicer and convinced me they had a sense of ownership.

also, to be clear... I’m vaguely relieved I didn’t get another bottle of whiskey.

 

@Quilentro pardon my ignorance here, but More was supposedly selling Blanton's or Toast was?

I'm very familiar with this internal struggle of light versus darkness.

 

More was selling liquor bottles at both Huntley and Villa Park. @VP Blanton’s and Eagle Rare at ~$10 or so upcharges, EHT small batch at MSRP. I think they’ve since removed these from their “to go” page.

Same here. Although, truth be told, I've had decent luck in my limited experience on Oznr thus far.

 

Unless there is a big delay, I'm still 0-fer on Oznr! In More's face though, now I won't be ordering a shit ton of the Partially Cloudy that @kodt mentioned. Suckers.

For those interested, I will be having a victory parade on Saturday that will start at More (Villa Park) and will proceed down to Roosevelt and then all the way to Grant Park, where I will be having a rally for my supporters to watch me drink the bottle. All properly socially distanced, of course.

 

Did not win. Did not get an email telling me I did not win. The icon just disappeared from my orders tab. Bummer.

 

Buddy is now like 0/12 on OZNR. Keeping his streak alive! I didn't bother on this one as I had no intention on picking up from VP location. Maybe next go!
