Since I first saw this brand getting started back up, I couldn't wait to finally try it.

I've asked around at stores in VA /DC over the last 24 months, but people either don't know what I'm talking about, or didn't get anywhere in tracking it down with distributors. There are very few reviews being logged on BA, which makes me nervous, as does their IG handle having no new posts in over 18 months.

Curious if anyone has had any success tracking down this legendary label.

I see it occasionally in central Jersey - but not sure what vintage(s). The black label of the Golden Edition 50th Anniversary (2018) will usually catch my eye.

    Current importer is:
    MHW, Ltd.
    1129 Northern Blvd
    Suite 312
    Manhasset, NY 11030.
    Phone: 516-869-9170
    Email: [email protected]

...but as you'll see, their primary business is not beer importing, and their website is decidedly not "consumer friendly" as far as linking to their distributors or maintaining a "Beer Finder" page, etc.

It is also a company that is both an importer and, in certain states, has a wholesale distributor license:
Wholesaler – NY, NJ, CA, FL
(which might explain why I see it).

It's available in and around northern MD and southeastern PA. Seems to come in waves every few months. I think most stores don't order it because it sells very slow in comparison to hype IPAs and stouts.

Awesome - very promising that they have been sold in MD .

That store is pretty far from me, but I know exactly where it is. Returning from the NE, on several occasions I was able to pick up Four Roses "Store Pick" Cask Strength Single Barrels there.

Very much appreciate the info @jmdrpi

They definitely have a big import section, I've stocked up on JW Lees Harvest Ale there before.

    That's fine. If it's ~$9.99 per

they can just special order a few cases and write my name on them !

(not surprising this isn't too hot of a seller despite the #BIL barleywine is life movement)

I doubt there is a "current" one available in the US at all. I haven't seen anything more recent than 2018, and the beer's website doesn't have anything past 2018. I wonder if the brand is more or less dead again. But you probably mean current as in 2014 and later, in which case I've only ever been able to find various versions from the 2017-2018 window. Those came to NY but spotting one was quite rare.

I did actually mean "Since 2014" version, but I can see how what I said was confusing

Based on your later posts, I thought that was the case, but since your initial post talked about media activity and awareness over the last two years, I thought I’d broaden the conversation. Good luck.
