Doomier and less "busy" than Blood Incantation, but with 3 out of 4 of the same members, I think. Saw them live before the plague, and they were mesmerizing.

Could this be my favorite Suarez pils? Gonna hedge my bets and say it’s in the Top Two. Of course two is the sum total of my experience with their takes on the style (the other beer is Qualify). Both have been excellent.

Pours into my tulip glass a turbid fully opaque straw shade with a great billowing off white head. Good retention and fluffy lace. Great looking beer.

Scent is tropical fruit, tangerines, grapefruit pith, and general citrus and floral hops.

Taste is tropical fruit and citrus with a light crackery malt base and perhaps a hint of sourdough tang. Tangerines. Lemon and lime. Grapefruit. There is a pleasing bitterness. Neither sweet nor overly dry.

Mouth is coating with a slight chalky feel to it and a prickly carbonation.

Great looking IPA with a lot of citrus and tropical hop flavors and a light refreshing malt bill.

Untied Brewing's 2nd Trip Around the Sun; a special release for its second anniversary. I just reviewed this on the NBW thread. I know I keep posting great reviews of Untied's NE IPAs. And I don't want to lose credibility on BA. But damn, these beers are fantastic! It's like the brewery made a deal with the devil.

Poured into my shaker pint glass this lager is a clear darker brown toned amber with a foamy taupe head. Long lasting and some nice lace.

Scent is floral, caramel, doughy sweet bread, mildly nutty.

Flavor is caramel, fresh bread, nuts, bread crust and a dry lemony hop note. Hint of chocolate. Somewhat sweet with a dry finish. Floral, lemony and leafy green hops are subtle but noticeable and provide a nice counterweight to the sweet malt flavors that dominate the experience. Interestingly this lager seems almost more like a brown ale in some aspects but does retain the dry and reasonably crisp lager finish. Not sure exactly what to call it but either way I like it.

Mouth is creamy with a dry finish.

Tasty satisfying amber lager with an alternate personality identifying as a brown ale.

I'm having a Sunday Feels from Dogfish Head. It is Sweet & fruity. There's grape, orange, lemon & peach. A bit tart, but not as much as a sour should offer.
