Why the hell do they always sell a separate $5 ticket to these things? Is there a legitimate logistical reason they do that to make managing the event easier in some way or is it just another cash grab?

Were it not for the 8-10 hour round trip during COVID in midwinter I have to admit I'd be tempted at $150 for all 3 bottles just to finally tick that beast. Hopefully after the dinners didn't sell out maybe these won't either then the next step will be dumpimg shelf-turd Assassin on distro. Lol I know that's not happening...yet...

Not sure if the site they’re using for the sales cost money or not. I know it’s based from their home site, but a lot of these sites popping up cost money for the company and breweries have been charging a fee to cover their cost. Forager used a free site and on the one release I had 2k in pending charges because they could not keep up and a lot of other people had a lot of charges so for the past 3 releases they’ve gone to a pay site and charged $5.

what’s been the kicker is these beers are usually 2 for $100 including tax and now they’re charging $50+tax. Will be interesting if they go back to the cash only $100 including tax post Covid or continue the credit card only $100+tax option.

It seems pretty common for breweries to have a consistent pattern with recurring special releases so you usually have an idea of price, quantity etc but with TG there's always some little new plot twist to wring a few more bucks out.

My wife somehow managed to grab a ticket. I didn't even get to pick a date on the calendar. Super excited she got one.
