I think too often people still assume/think that we are like the majority of breweries out there which brew a single recipe and fill an entire batch into only 1 type/spirit barrel.

Take a look at the blog post of Maple in the Wood - https://www.sideprojectbrewing.com/blog/mapleinthewood - in that pic you can see BLiS, Buff Trace (the EHT barrels), Angel's Envy, and Peerless barrels.

Maple in the Wood went through our brewhouse 3 times - all the same recipe, but brewed with different starting and finishing gravities.

When we are brewing a new beer, that we won't be enjoying or blending for at least 18 months, we often take at least 2 stabs at it and then fill a matrix of different barrels. This allows us to maybe pull more from the higher FG barrels if we need more body in the finished beer, or maybe pull more of the lower FG barrels if that is the direction we want. Same goes for the barrels use, some will be "hotter" and more barrel forward, while others will be rounder, more mature and sometimes perceived as sweeter, even though they aren't.

We are a blending brewery, everything we do is blended. This allows us to "hopefully" never swing and completely miss. We hedge all of our bets as its years before these projects see the light of day.

With that said, that is why Maple in the Wood used only a portion of the filled barrels - the BLiS Maple and the EH Taylor.

Double Barrel was selected from several of my favorite barrels when sampling for the original release - 2 EH Taylor and 2 Rittenhouse Rye which were then racked to Willett Bourbon.

The the remainder were saved for blending projects - like the one we just started yesterday.

Another post, another mention of BA Coco Vibes in the Instagram comments.

I wish I knew why a legion of people think it’s coming soon.

I wish I knew why people think it’ll be anywhere near as good as the original. I’ve personally been underwhelmed at the Shared BA Stouts this year, and I was as excited for BA Ambiente as any beer this year. At this point I’d honestly prefer the non BA versions of Shared stouts.

Just because his opinion is different than yours, doesn’t mean it’s ridiculous. BA Ambiente was great, but I’d rather drink this last batch of CSV.

I agree BA Ambiente wasn’t close to 2014 BA abraxas which I think everyone that’s had that vintage of BA abraxas was hoping it would be but I really enjoyed BA CSV.

That being said, Achromatic Vibes has been my favorite of the shared stouts for 2020. That beer was perfect

I take back everything bad I said about Biere Blanche. It's like BdP's older brother. I regret not buying more of this.

On the other hand, Blended 2020 had way more of a funky fruit profile than I thought It would. Still good, just not sure what I was expecting.

My phone briefly pulled up the new site, but now only pulls up the old (and rejections on sub pages that didn't exist on the old site). I think it's because it's appending www. to the URL. Desktop without www. works fine for me

Maybe just me, but I’m having to enter a DOB anytime I move to a different section of the site.

The traffic probably isn't that comparable, but 4Hands used Shopify for their Madagascar release and it went pretty well.

Hopefully that holds true for Anabasis or whatever the next big release is.
