Just cracked my first Augustin 13 Polotmavy lager and it is stellar. Anyone try anything by Schilling lately that has wowed you?

Their Italian style Pilsner didn’t wow me, but it was damn tasty!

Augustin 13 was very good. Looking forward to trying Aosta. Schilling has developed a track record with me where I will try almost anything by them. I'm not crazy about Italian Pilsners because IMO there are more misses than hits on the market right now. I will try Schilling's take though.

On a side note, am thinking of taking a ride to Schilling, but am not driving home. Any suggestions for places to stay within walking distance?

Check out Thayers Inn it's a few hundred feet away and its backed up to the river as well. It's not a posh place but it was built in 1850 and probably has ghosts.

The Maple Leaf Motel is super-cheap, quiet, clean, and family run. Nuthin' fancy. About a 1-mile walk to the brewery. Stayed there for the Oktoberfest when everything else was sold out.

Did a little solo Schilling tasting recently...in pour order:

Jaroslav-really well made and tasty, but not a dark lager. More of an amber.
Aosta-didn’t wow me. IP haven’t really done that. It’s solid if unspectacular.
    Augustin 13-outstanding.
Glacial-really enjoyed this as well. Not sure of the winter saison style, but came off very hefe heavy. Banana and bubblegum for me.

    Augustin > Jaroslav=Glacial > Aosta

I have Hemel and Kamarade in the fridge currently.

I've never stayed there, but my wife and I have had several enjoyable meals at Beal House. Its walkable to Schilling. For something no frills you could try the Eastgate Inn. We've stayed there the night before for numerous white mountain hikes where we want to be on the trail by sunrise. Affordable, although a bit of a walk from Schilling.

Same. Not quite as good as Notch, but if I see Schilling I buy them now. I love the styles they brew.

Georg is the best Munich Dunkel in New England in my opinion.

Augustin 13 was amazing. But right now I am seeing Paulus around Boston, that is a really good Munich Style Helles Lager. Also, Palmovka 12 Czech Pilsner is currently in stores around here. It's really good also. And can't go wrong with Alexandr 10.

I buy basically everything I see around here from Schilling.

Drinking a Kamarade now. Tasty. Should have also picked up a Framinghammer to compare.

Stayed here last year. Definitely super old and not as current with amenities as some would like, but it was comfortable, a gorgeous historic building and a 2-minute walk to everything you wanna do in Littleton. Highly recommend it.

Also I am now on team "buy everything I see from Schilling." They've earned my trust in the same way that Jacks Abby, Grimm, Suarez and Oxbow have.

Last post in a row: Georg is full-stop in conversation for best dunkel I've ever had. And I've spent time in Munich.

Wish they brewed this one all the time instead of Modernism. But it makes it that much more special when it does come around.

    They take some stellar pictures.

Love the aerial view of the frothy head that’s probably from their side pull tap.

Tried some Palmovka 12 Czech Pilsner last night. Nice one. Really like the bready malt profile which provides a pleasant mouthfeel. On the back end a nice flowery/spicy finish, all in balance. Will definitely pick up some more.

I recall really liking that one, but Georg is the tops for me.

Best Munich Dunkel in New England.
