forgot to post this last night I had three of these. Best neipa I’ve had so far aslin orange starfish.

 

Just finished a third bottle of Whole Hog Hazelnut Brownie Imperial Porter.
Now I'm drinking a Augustiner Maximator starkbier (Dopplebock)

 

This one is pretty darn good. I wasn’t sure about it, so only grabbed a single. Coconut, maple, and chocolate, really attractive, and a killer body to boot. Cheers all and go Brady.

 

Watching the snow fall and sipping on a Perennial SUMP this morning. They go perfectly together.

Yet another cold morning, overcast. It'll probably snow later, here on the high Arctic plains of NW PA. Today's New Breakfast Beer is left over from the Extreme Beer Fest 2021: Cyberspace edition:



Pretty interesting take on the Black IPA style: a bit smokey and melony rather than citrusy, 4.27, rDev +4.9%. Also, a cross-post with NBW/NBS.

 

This cold weather calls for a nice BA stout. Cheers

Bronze with an off white head. Smells of funk. No wheat in this. Grass. Hay. Noble type hop character. Musty. Big carbonation. Full bodied.

Absolutely excellent.

 

Have a good Sunday. I did 10.5 last night. I am pretty beat. Someone called off last night, and then I went in early to cover for the other Manager. My GM was late by about a half hour. I did the microwave gyros and the Flamin hot ruffles are a new favorite. Not too spicy, but good pepper flavor. I am pretty beat now. I helped clean the store up for some audit shit this week. I still have no running water and my dad came over to plug in the heat tape, and it didnt do shit. Hopefully get that shit sorted out today. At least I have 4 gallons of purified water to drink in the cooler machine

Good morning BAs! Last night’s extreme beer fest kicked my butt again...six beers (some partial pours) in 3 hours was so doable when I was a younger man...now, I can drink’em, but I feel it the next day...

Overcast, misty and mid 60s here. Looks like the rain will blow through before the game. As I understand it, this is the first SB that includes a host team - go Buccaneers!

Beer? My eye opener this morning is Fremont’s BBA Dark Star (2019):



I don’t think I’ve ever had a Fremont stout I didn’t love...so well balanced...so delicious...working on my notes for NBW. Cheers and...wait for it...have a Super Sunday y’all!

Good morning, BAs! Down to my last blind beer from @Justonemore91 . Wasn’t sure what style this would be, so cracked open the can just a little, saw purple, and made my choice accordingly.


L - 1-finger dense pink head recedes slowly, leaving tons of lacing. Body is a sludgy, opaque maroon.

S - sweet berry overload. Mixed berries, vanilla, brown sugar. Smells absolutely stellar.

T - oh wow. Raspberry, blackberry?, blueberry, pie crust, vanilla, brown sugar. Quite smooth, with low acidity and just a hint of tartness.

F - thick body with minimal carb.

O - this has to be Evil Twin. Thinking mixed berry pie sour, 6%ish abv.

Reveal:


Evil Twin’s Even More Hydra, a cover of Mortalis’ Triple Berry Campfire. 7% abv. Sour ale with blackberry, raspberry, blueberry, cocoa nibs, and marshmallow. I missed the latter 2 ingredients, but the rest sound right. This is amazing stuff. Thanks again Ray for all of the amazing beers you sent me!
