    Hi
I am used to the light beers like miller lite Coors Light and Budweiser but I would like to get into more beers that has more flavor. What are some good beers to start with that are not too strong? that just had some good flavor and maybe a some bitterness.

Well, it's 6 AM here on the east coast. Personally, I like to start with a Founders Breakfast Stout. It has breakfast in the title so it helps me feel like less of an alcoholic.

Two that I like are: Founders All Day IPA and Cape May Always Ready. Low ABV but with nice flavor.

If your from Massachusetts and enjoy lighter drinking beers I’d start giving some Jacks Abby beers a try. House lager or post shift pils. I’m assuming they’re readily available in their home state. If you try them, enjoy!

Your in Mass, your area has some of the best beers in the world, like mentioned above I’d start with JA beers, I think they’re terrific.

I’d start with your local Sam adams Boston lager and if you like it, go with fat tire next. Maybe Brooklyn lager if the SA is too hoppy for you.

Try Sam Adams Boston Lager. Also, anything from vonTrapp.

No bad place to start if you ask me, anything new and different will help you figure out what you like. It is certainly a great beer if you ask me.

I don't think it is, but that's just from personal experience. It was a bit too strong for me at first.

I do think Sam Adams is a good place to start, however. Alpine Lager might be a decent one to try, as it isn't as hoppy as Boston Lager.

Grab the mix 12 packs Jack’s abby sells. Or, just by a bunch of their six packs. House lager, shipping out of Boston, and post shift pils should get you moving in the right direction.

I'd recommend seeking out some more flavorful lagers, like those brewed by Jack's Abby or Notch out near you in Mass.

If you are looking for a beer that is just a small step up from Miller Lite/Bud I would recommend Yuengling Traditional Lager. It has more flavor than those beers but still very drinkable.

    Cheers!

Go support your local breweries and ask them for their recommendation. Most breweries carry more accessible style lagers, pale ales, ambers, browns, etc for folks newer to craft beer or who aren't ready for/dont want DDH imperial ipas and heavy stouts.

We get the odd JA beers here, but I’d love to have their whole lineup here fresh. They just make great beers period. Great beers for everyone new and old imo.

Lawson’s has some nice Session brews. You should be able to find them in MA.

Nothing wrong with liking lagers. Consider going to your local craft place and asking for a recommendation.

I started out with Arrogant Bastard back in the day, son gave it to me for fathers day. I took one sip and was blown away, never knew beer could taste like that.
