I messaged the marketing manager last week and he confirmed that everyone is getting three unique beers (4 cans of each). If people are getting different assortments, it might be that they're winging it and working with whatever stock they have left for the first month. Sounds like things will be more organized going forward and there may be more than three different beers in future cases, fwiw.

Can anyone actually confirm they got a different assortment than Dave?

I got the same assortment. Not sure how I feel knowing that they were giving away Here Comes A Regular Version for free at the brewery today. Obviously a convenience factor for delivery but still.

Jesus people- I am not trying to stir anything up! I did not hear anything to suggest packs would be different- I merely wondered and said that I would be surprised if they were. If that started unneeded speculation, I apologize. I am cool with the beers I got and would be happy with any assortment they might send. I am sorry I was not clear enough. I seriously doubt the packs would be different and said as much. Personally, I wouldn't care, but I imagine some people might get their pitchforks out about it. Those people probably shouldn't sign up for blind memberships. I for one, like surprises and am happy to support Notch all the way out here in the sticks of Massachusetts.

I didn’t think you were stirring anything up, but your posts weren’t clear imo, statements as questions, etc.

No worries. Hopefully you learn how to spell and use punctuation.

was a common joke on another sports forum I posted on where we had very active threads on NBA, NFL, and most major soccer leagues. And yes, the euros coined that term on there.

I got the same mix, 4 Kolsch-4 Here Comes a Regular- 4 Tmavy.
Here Comes a Regular is pretty amazing for such a small beer!
Tmavy and Kolsch are tasting as great as I remember.

This subscription thingy is just great!

Yeah, but you had to drive into the Thunder Dome that is Salem! Don't get me wrong, Salem is a nice place, but what a pain to drive to from central Ma. I would kill to have a Notch taproom out this way though. Chilling at Notch almost makes the drive worth it.....almost. I am glad UPS is taking one for team. Matt, please proofread my post for clarity and punctuation. I hope I didn't let you down.

You’re a teacher, but hopefully not in English.

Nope, sometimes I do, but not all the time. I have a relative who works in Salem so I get my Notch beers delivered via my own personal "family UPS", free of charge (I'll sometimes pay for a four pack for the person, because hey, I'm a nice guy).

Saw that Notch is releasing a new Czech Pils. Nice of them to make a beer for our arrival to Mass this weekend.

Haven't had any Notch in a bit and grabbed some Cerne Pivo today. I don't think I've had it since it moved to 16 ounce cans and it looks like it gained half a percent of ABV during the move.

Sweet zombie jesus this shit is good. I don't remember it being quite this earth shattering before but maybe I was just a (bigger) dumbass back then.

Urge to spend $50 on mail order program rising.....

Weren’t the 12 oz cans contracted like the session pils and other 12-pack beers? The 16oz cans are brewed in Salem.

This. Almost certain it’s never been a 12 oz. can. Old school bombers back in the day then 16 oz. cans from Salem, two label variations.

There were definitely 12 oz bottles when they brewed in Ipswich. I'm pretty sure there were 12 oz cans as well around 2015. I can remember buying six packs of the saison and "black lager" from the Community Store in Marblehead back in 2011/2012.

Interesting. Thanks. Definitely drank the bombers back in the day, but must have missed the smaller format cans/bottles.

Definitely remember the 12 oz Black Lager cans as well. Based on a brief check of photos on Untappd, they were available as recently as 2017. Also assumed that these were contract-brewed like Session Pils and other 12 oz cans.

I recall picking up Hootenanny in a bomber in summer 2014. Maybe the format changed as they were transitioning from Ipswich to Two Roads? I think the timing would be right?
