Speaking of super delicious, this cold 16 ounce can is hitting the spot after a rough thirteen hour nightshift and 27 mile drive home on ice...

Hopefully my wife and daughter will return to school tomorrow so I can add a sidecar of Buffalo Trace and take a (quiet) moment to reflect on the pairing. Cheers all and enjoy your Thursday!

Yeah, I'm always a little suspicious of any beer that presumes to be "super delicious." Like those diners that advertise "World's best biscuits and gravy" and you sure as hell know that they won't be the best biscuits and gravy you've ever had.

 

Early one for me, but I've been up tending the wood stove.
It's cold. Right now it is -9° with a wind chill of -29°.
High temps for the next four days are all below zero.
And it's snowing.
We have plenty of food, firewood and beer, so.... it ain't that bad.

Also, the girls (Grisette and Lill) are now one year old, our COVID-kitten adoptees from last March 2020. How time flies....

Normal 8 hours of work til 7am. Got some dogs last night and the ruffles hot wings were worth doing again for sure. I need to try more flavors, but big fan of all the flamin hot chips. I talked to my gf for 2 hours on skype like we do every day, except when she is here. Coffee #1 was too much espresso shot and so the caramel was hardly detectable, but the second cup was a lighter roast and the reeses flavor was awesome.




Always love it.

Here's one I've never heard before!

 

Afternoon Advocates. Big excitement of the day is that I shaved off the goatee and moustache, which have been on and off for varying lengths of time over the past thirty years. Good news is, if I dislike this look, it grows back in a hurry. Mrs. Insomniac claims I look ten years younger without it, so there is that.

Been really enjoying this recent Oscar Blues addition to the Ontario market. Over the last couple of years they have also brought in Dale’s, Fidy, DBC and G’Knight. These have been welcome entries, although I’m just not a coconut in beer guy. Cheers.

 

Made here in Minnesota, taste reminds me of an orange creamsicle. Odd but very tasty.
