I’m celebrating a closing at Bull n Bear Brewery with a pour of Liquid Asset, a tasty Dortmunder. Kudos to the brewery for offering this style. Cheers!

 

Backlash Beer Co. Chaos, a double IPA that is a re-brew of something they made 7 years ago. I'm pretty sure I had it back then but don't really remember it... it's good, though! Like an older-school WCIPA made in MA.

I would love to see more of this style. I have had good ones made by American breweries, but mostly they seem to think the style is just cloying sweetness with nothing else. Andechser, Celebrator, etc all have such an expressive and nuanced malt character that a lot of American breweries can't seem to get. Of coarse there are exceptions, around me Live Oak makes a great one on occasion, but not much else. Anyway, just my thoughts

Hoping for negative results

 

I may make a permanent enemy of @vabeerguy from this statement, but I’d choose this over Hazy Little Thing. Assuming the goal is to enjoy tasty hops and not to build a buzz.

 

Old bottle of Danish Guy - Trillium & Evil Twin 2019 collab imperial stout with cinnamon, vanilla bean and almond. Still super tasty like how that danish pastry on the label looks. Cheers all!

 

A nice saison from Rockwell. Perhaps a bit on the thin side but still good. Cheers!

Now here's a classic I haven't had in years! Taking me back to my roots and one responsible for my segway into better tasting beers. Still a great beer and fine example of the style.

I like Bell's Consecrator. They release that one in the fall. Otherwise I totally agree. Not many good choices from US brewers

 

Wit-Collar Crime, a Belgian Wit. Nicely done and style points for the name. Brings to mind a few clients over the years.
