wasn't double barrel ISLBS 54.4% more costly per oz than this?

750 ml (or 25.361 oz) @ $48.84 = $1.93 per oz
32 oz @ $40 (not sure if taxes / fees included) = $1.25 per oz

 

Highly doubt it includes taxes/fees. Looked back on my fees on Obsidian Throne were ~14%

 

Double Barrel ISLBS was $35 plus tax, IIRC.

 

that’s right - I hit 4 instead of 3 when I was double-checking my math, and uncorrected my initially correct numbers because that is consistent with my day / rolling calendar year

 

While I really liked Catch Hell, for me it was really just well balanced. I'm not sure the double-barrel treatment will automatically lead to an improvement here.

 

Apparently the lofty price tag includes $2 of gratuity for HA employees

I balked at the price at first glance too. But if you think about, it's cheaper than a lot of things these days. I'm looking at you subpar BCBS variants over the last few years. What are non-BA stouts from Side Project running these days? $25-30 for a bomber or somewhere in that ballpark.

 

I had the same reaction, then I remembered that I just paid around $19 / can for Cuppa to Maplewood.
