Nah, there are some places where the cart is a lock for a period of time. So you have to wait 10-15 minutes and the items that were never actually bought become available again.

 

No horse in this race but the amount of butthurt in the IG comments is quite entertaining

Dumb question (and anecdotally-driven) but why even allow proxies on something as limited as this release when many locals seemed to have missed out?

 

Because. Who cares?

Would I have had a better shot if some A-hole in California didn't order so his buddy could proxy and ship it there? Sure. Do I care in the grand scheme of life if I missed out on one beer release? No.

 

Only thing I can think of is continue to hype the brand nationally given distro footprint (and ahead of any potential expansion too).

Ok, so it was more of a rhetorical question. And it was not phrased in anger but a simple question. I was fortunate enough to get a 2 pack so I was trying to be sympathetic to my fellow FIBs is all.

 

The fact that you don't care is no more relevant than the fact that someone does. It's a legitimate question. The way breweries handle limited releases can impact customer attitudes and in turn purchasing decisions on other items. I don't think this single release will have any impact. But it's still a fair question given the demand here is way more than enough to cover the supply.

 

I would have a better shot at BBT than the typical Half Acre release

Yeah,I don’t understand their logic. They want to make it a lottery as opposed to having a chance to secure the drop themselves. A lot of the complaint is due to it selling out while they out in their info. I almost always use Apple pay for releases like this which is instant as opposed to typing in billing info and it shocks me that people are still manually typing in cc numbers and billing addresses in 2021 lol
