I personally really enjoyed the Centennial IPA. I haven't tried the Porter but I would get it during my next trip. Excited to see what else they might do with the series.

The 4 pack that I got from Threes was also just as good as I remembered. It has none of the melon that people have been talking about.

Wait for real? If you toke every day you’re considered high risk?

Yes, exactly something like this! I hope they read my meandering post last year and took it to heart. This porter slipped by my awareness, will look for a can somewhere around town.

You know, I don't think I've ever bought a case of OH beer at once. If they were to release an ESB, I think I'd have to put my money where my shitposting has been.

Cactus Palace is a winner in my book. It's packed with fruit in the front but quickly mellows out and becomes smooth. Feels like way less than 10%. I wanted to buy more but I must wait for City Slickers (vol 3?)

Looks like DC brewed a stout with Evil Twin. Hope we get some of that in BK.

Found this while cleaning over the weekend, those mask-free days when it was just about gallons of Purell

In hindsight, it's kind of crazy it happened.

I sadly never had the opportunity to experience any Other Half beer fests. Hopefully soon...

On some level, for some of us, that's true every year for a festival that combines an unreasonable amount of decidedly un-sessionable beers with crowds, lines, roving mouth pours, and wrastling.

Don't get me wrong. I'm still glad such a thing exists for those who take pleasure in it. But how this event of all events proved to be the last beerfest before the city and the world went into total pandemic lockdown mode is certainly one for the historians. It is also kind of poetic...

Ha, there are three principles for avoiding pastrytown becoming drunkytown:
    1. pour out anything you don't love (I pour out a lot there :/ )
    2. don't try everything just because there's no line
    3. Get out when you're done, no need to stay til closing time!

Sam and I usually end up with rosy cheeks but nothing worse.

My fiancé and I still can’t believe we didn’t contract Covid at pastrytown. That event was beyond a Petri dish. God damn do I miss it

Wish the BBT didn’t get kicked 2 people in front of me....

Finally got the chance to try all of the Anni beers as well as a bunch of others. I had previously said that I was less than impressed by their recent offerings, but have to say I really enjoyed all the stuff from late Jan (for the most part). Anni rankings:

    OG 4th (best IPA I've ever had period) >>>> 2021 5th (never had OG 5th) > 7th > OG 6th > 2021 6th >>>>>> 4th is dead (considering how good OG 4th was, this was a major disappointment IMO)

Cost + 10 ^ 2 and 321 Days since were both quite tasty. Daydreams and Fashion Shows was a big miss for me, but Athlete was decent. Interested to see how the new Mylar is.
