Watching the Avs/Vegas game at Tahoe. Sunny here, and unfortunately for the NHL, it's also sunny at Tahoe. They're talking about whether to cancel the game after one period because the sun is playing havoc with the ice conditions.

Jack's Abby House Lager



Canned 12/15/20.

Poured into my pint glass this lager is a clear gold with a bright white short creamy head. Head falls quickly leaving small amounts of soapy lace.

Scent is yeasty and doughy fresh bread, light fruit and a hint of leafy green hops.

Taste is fresh sweet doughy bread and light bread crust. Apple, pear. Lemon. Hint of honey. Clean dry finish. There's a touch of bitterness but only enough to balance the sweetness of the malt.

Mouth is lightly creamy with a crisp carbonation and a dry finish.

Easy drinking. well made and quite satisfying Helles lager. Hard to drink only one of these.

 

This is the beer that I was drinking during my visit with @JamFuel. What an absolute joy it was to drink beer and visit with a kindred spirit in Europe! I believe this is the future of this thread, where we drink beers together online. Let's get this going! I have met a lot of you in-person on this thread, and I want to talk with all of you a lot more frequently! Send me a Zoom invite!

We’re at Sunken Siloh Brewing in Lebanon, NJ. First visit; it’s a nice space! I’m starting with The Tip, a 7.5% West Coast IPA. Mrs. Mac is sampling Fast Juice, a NE IPA.

 

Not as bitter and definitely more palatable than Post-modernism (winky eye emoji)

 

Enjoying the enticing aroma of chili cooking and having a Dankful IPA after walking around the circle a few times ..

 

Nugget Nectar, cheers!

Did pull the old x-c skis out for a nice sunny afternoon ski outing - super nice snow conditions - flew around the 1.6 mile trail twice - then drove downtown to Akronym Brewing for a Nitro Pattie - Irish Stout with coffee, apres ski - yum!



did a sample of the BBA barleywine - oofff, heavy duty! Not worth the $18 / 500 ml bottle!





the old geezer still has his ski moves!
