Oops, we forgot to turn on the rice cooker while prepping the tofu, veggies, chili’s and spices, so I’ve got fifteen minutes or so for this one while the rice cooks and the offer stuff simmers on low heat. Cheers.

My 1st beer of the day after a 30 minute walk on a 39 day old knee is another new offering from down I-89.

Moderate pour yields a one inch tan head over a near black body with sticky lacing. Nose of citrus and dark malt with a bit of a floral aspect as well. Taste is slight bitter chocolate, dark malt, and a tad smoky fudge?!? Very tasty with a finish of bitter chocolate and maybe a little pine. It's tough to nail down, exactly, but I really like it! Nice feel and overall, a treat to be honest; and as it warms it's akin to chocolate on a slightly burnt pine log, I guess.

DDH pseudo sue. Super fresh, not as good as regular PS, at least this batch, kind of overwhelmed by the extra dry hopping and strongly bitter.

 

Oh yeah...I got another sixer of Bob's Brown Ale! Oh frabjous day! And I'm going to find out how it pairs with Lagavulin 16.

 

Took the pup out this morning for a long walk after not much walking for the past week. Have some bone-in ribeyes as well to celebrate the heat wave. While it isn't breakfast this oatmeal brown ale with Sump coffee from 4 Hands is enjoyable. Cheers!
