Figure someone in here might have the answer

This spring/summer I'll be building an outdoor kitchen and bar with a couple taps.

Can a store request specific kegs through their distributor or are they limited to just what the distributor has on hand?

    Cheers :beers:

You can request a special order. You'll have better luck if the keg is ordinary. If the distributor does not have it, the retailer can't sell it to you. And your 1 order of a rarely stocked keg is not much incentive for the extra work.

You can look around too. For example if you are looking for Peroni. call a retailer in an area you know has Italian immigrants or at least Italian restaurants, etc. Or call the brewer and ask where you can get their product.

If you have a specific keg that is special order but you buy it every 6 weeks You'll have better luck.

You're going to find that the long list of brands carried by each distributor is rarely available. Maybe half are readily bought.

Bottom line, nobody is looking for the headache for the $25 margin

    Cheers
