Hate to say it but two weeks post canning and MoGa is starting to tail off and get that inferior galaxy taste. (Nobody like this post)

 

Felt guilty chugging the 4 pack @algebeeric_topology sent me over the course of 24 hours last weekend. But now I’m viewing it as critical foresight.

 

@afroskully ain't wrong, but the vegetal notes are very faint, only present after it warmed...having my last can tonight and mostly still delightful.

Anyone try latest DMD batch?

 

Early February batch of ACE dropped in NJ presumably because they've got 37 IPAs for sale. It's MUCH better tab the recent knockoff DC batch, and no melon. It's a big time buy. Great balance of bitter and juicy. Now if they want up keep this up, how about some AGE in NJ? You locals can continue to enjoy these double hop series I'm missing.

All Green Everything? Seems like it's been awhile since they made it.

I remember them awhile hinting at maybe redoing the WC OG recipe, that would be fun to go back and try again.

 

Need some help deciding.
Cactus Palace or Raspberry Crunchee?
DMD or Citra daydream? Or any other IPAs that you guys have tried and are good?

 

My local shop got ACE and C+S. Sorry if it's been posted recently, but can someone report on the latest batch of C+S?

 

Haven’t really been paying attention so if there’s a brand new C+S I haven’t had that one, but if it’s the one from first half of Jan (second batch) it was decent but not in the same league as the OG. And I don’t mean that in the obvious beer nerd batch-one-is-unattainable way; second time round it was a different beer. Even visually.

 

They got branding to uphold... Sorry!

 

I spent more time than I care to admit trawling OH's 3 IG accounts trying to find provenance for this batch of beer.

 

Is it definitely gowanus brewed I guess is my question. I mean if it's the last batch, that's pushing some (in relative terms) old product that I assume sold out no problem and didn't need distro to do so. Odd choice either on OHs or the distributors end if it's the old batch.

 

They're definitely making beer on the down low for 3rd parties to sell. What's up with their date stamper? That thing misfires way too much, I wouldn't buy cans w/o a date from a 3rd party.

 

I love this shop, but it's definitely a check the dates type of place for sure. I'm actually going to be in the area later, so I plan to stop by and see when the cans are from. If they're recent I'll be picking up a 4. They also got ACE in, and that's been consistently good so at least I'll have that to fall back on.

 

Last week I saw pallets of SD on the sidewalk, they haven't shown up in for sale so I assume it's going somewhere retail. I saw the same thing with Broccoli a few months back, spotter a ton on the sidewalk then it was in the Threes store. I think OH knows it bad for their brand to have 42 beers for sale on their website, so they gotta go back to hating locals.

 

So those cans of C+S were dated 12/20. I still bought a can because I'm a masochist/idiot.

 

moga can two days ago had a touch of dirty galaxy creep, but fine. cracked the last one today and it was stellar, best of the 4-pack. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

also after trying all of the anniversary ipas:
5th (perfection, smooth, underrated) > 7th (all kinds of flavor) > 6th (lil melon, fine but not as good as last year's batch) > 4th is dead (off, couldn't finish it)

So this can tasted pretty damn good....
