    Good morning advocates!

Drinking Little Sumpin’ Sumpin’ ale, which is one of these classic American craft I haven’t gotten tired of yet, and probably never. I love Maximus too, though it’s a bit sweeter.

Celebrating my mother’s birthday in a bit, have bought a cake and since she doesn’t drink, coffee or tea will do.

Cheers and hoppy Tuesday to all!

Good Monring @Shanex and Beer Advocates from across the globe. Nice IPA, really like that one myself and hope they are able to reopen awesome their taproom in Chicago before the 2022 they announced earlier this year. I hope you, your Mother and family are able to enjoy a nice special day!

Your post inspired my beer and music pairing. First the beer, another old school IPA though a new one created last year though also by a famous Chicago Brewery.

Colourful can, though in a bizarre American style as opposed to the elegant Polo & Pan video. Speaking of bizarre Americans, the closest equivalent I could think of to the main characters and a few of the scenes in your video is the combination of Gutterballs and Kenny Rogers' early band The First Edition. The second is unique in its own right, though posted primarily because it is Two for Tuesday (though film inspired, not artist), and I just can't help it, though The Gypsy Kings and John Turturro are both awesome as is Liam and the rest of the cast..

    Cheers!

Good day BAs! Thanks, @Shanex , for starting today's thread, and Happy Birthday to your Mom - may she have many more!
Today's New Breakfast Beer, under our overnight quarter-inch of snow:

Barrel-aged salt? Barrel-aged almonds? Really? Why?

There's nothing bad about this beer, there's just nothing to justify the price point - $ 0.909/oz. Rating 3.6, rDev -15.7%. IMHO, the base beer (Big Bad Baptist) is better without all the pointless tweeking.

    Welp.
A spell of insomnia and I was up with the cats this morning to greet the sun.
Keepin' it sane for now, with some Special Effects, until the p.m. if I feel like a real beer.
May otherwise take the day off. Cheers!

Just got my haircut done at the barber, and now about to sip on Rince Cochon in the bigger 750ml bottle.

While I’m not particularly « promoting » this book, I still wanted to share you the book a friend of mine sent from Florida. Former US Army who served for nearly 25 years, focusing on Anti/Counter terrorism operations etc...

He has experienced multiple combat tours in the Gulf War, Bosnia, Afghanistan and Iraq a number of times too.

I’ll dive into it soon, regardless of one opinion about our politicians, the memoirs of a vet about all this mess interest me.

Sounds like a badass dude. Was he a Ranger or ODA (Green Beret)?

Certainly a badass dude, ultimately his book is all about the Global War on Terror although he served before even the GWOT was started post 9/11.

I’ll be totally honest here, I’ve « known » him from a different online community, not In real life. And he always came across as a stand up dude, no matter the stuff he’s been through.

Sorry, I’m not sure if he was a Ranger or Green Beret yet, but reading up on his book will give me a clue. Cheers.

Thanks @Shanex, i just bought the book on Amazon. From their website "E. Michael Davis II, OMar, 1SG USA (Ret) served almost 25 years in the United States Army as a Military Police Investigator. His work focused on Investigations, Anti/Counter-Terrorism Operations, Police Special Operations, Intelligence Operations and Force Protection with multiple Joint and Combined Commands." I'd be interested to know what you think of the book when you dig into it or finish it. I can't find any reviews about it, but it sounds intriguing.
