If you’d told me a year ago that by now Ambiente and a Pulling Nails were sitting with no limits I would have called you crazy.

Bottle counts are about 10 - 20% higher because we aren't using any of the batch as draft. But yeah, just glad everyone seems to be pretty happy with the accessibility right now (even though they still have to get a proxy and etc.).

Well this makes me extremely happy, I really can’t wait to try it!

I was able to tack on an additional Ambiente with the PN12 bottles this morning. Love seeing them hang around longer, in addition to the hops cans. Don’t live far away but makes the trip to SP a bit more productive

I bought a case of Ambiente and didn’t have to make my wife stand in the cold for 3 hours so loving this new system.

Now @OakvilleKGB on other other hand probably hates me because he totes so many cases of beer for me and others monthly in and out of his house, lol. I haven’t seen him in 6 months so I fully expect him to look like Popeye next time I do.

Another drive to Side Project, another successful trip. Grabbed my four orders today right at 4, then made two IP trades 3 min later at Gus’ (one for Rye BBT and the other for Mamans 16,17 and 20). I feel like all I do now is trade St.Louis beers one for another, with rare exceptions.

ps, I know Maman 16 has potential infection issues. Trader was awesome guy and was willing to throw in ‘16, which he’s stored in fridge since release, for anything. We both came away happy with the trade.

You didn't have to wait long, as I decided to open it this morning (I have a day off and was going to split half a bottle with a friend if it didn't taste off). I only poured 2-3 oz into my glass to try it, and it poured thick. It tasted awesome. Brownie batter, and tons of barrel. I couldn't believe it, and I messaged my friend. So then as I started to pour into a separate container for him, I noticed it got thinner as I poured off half the bottle. I poured a little bit more for myself at the end after that, maybe another 1-2 ounces, and yeah... definitely not the same. Instead of brownie batter, it was starting to taste more cherry-metallic like... especially as it warmed. Thinner too. I feel like I got a glimpse of the potential, so it's unfortunate my '16 bottle had turned.

Wow that's weird. It's like it separated like salad dressing lol. Usually when I have bad beer it explodes all over me.

The very first pour, no foam head at all. Very still, like you expect from a well aged BA stout thats 5 years old. But as I continued pouring that bottle, yeah, started to foam more and more.

I’m still playing with the beer. Beer is fun.

I feel like the last few people that I have seen open them on facebook videos and such have gagged and almost thrown up after taking one whiff so it sounds like your experience is definitely on the better end of the spectrum

Definitely wasn't at that horrid state. I've had some horribly infected beers, like the full spectrum of Bourbon County 2015 infected bottles as well as a number of Green Flash barrel aged imperial stouts before that. Those were rancid! Maman '16 didn't make me want to instantly puke. If anything, I was kind of curious for a few sips to try and pin point the off flavors. But anywho, enough of the infection talk on this thread.

I did have that All Nelson Everything DIPA... I definitely prefer this version to the straight up Other Half. I'll openly admit that I think most Other Half NE IPA/DIPA/TIPA/QIPA?? are overly sweet and syrupy thick. I don't typically enjoy even a full can. But the Shared collaboration edition felt lighter in feel without losing the flavor, which had a great balance of dankness and citrusy flavors. Happy I bought multiples of this one, as this is one easy DIPA to drink.

This right here is what separates us on BA (beer nerds) and the rest of the beer drinkers out there. Instead of a drain pour, we'll power through a beer past it's prime to "pin point the off flavors."

Haha, not all of us. My second bottle of the origin went down the drain after one sip.

Not to be that guy, but I thought b3 started falling off noticeably when I drank my last one back in November. It was still “wow this is great and a coconut bomb”, but fresh it was like “holy shit I don’t know how you could cram any more coconut into this beer”. I can’t imagine what it was like right out of the tank before the 2-3 month QC period. My point, coconut falls of faster than any adjunct in my experience and I try to drink as fresh as possible. Never had b2 for the record.
