Oh man, you're probably glad that day is over. Here's to hoping it turns out to be your best brew to date. As a hybrid of comments by @OddNotion....when it rains, pour one  (which you already did).

It went smoother than yours, even though for some reason I used 38l of water instead of 33l, thanks beer smith. So it's not going to be an imperial stout, but I suppose I can call it an export stout.

That sucks, but at least you're brewing with boxers. I also brew with a boxer. Yours are beauts!

After much internal debate after many differing opinions online, I added 6 pounds of mixed blueberry/blackberry/raspberry to 5 gallons of American wheat beer. Some people say that a pound per gallon is good, others two per...

As Davl22 suggested, I thawed the berries and mashed them. I read all kinds of things about just adding them straight away, about pasteurizing them and about soaking them in alcohol. In the end, I poured about about a 1/2 cup of vodka through the un-mashed berries and mixed before mashing. I think the color is going to be awesome.

Rec'd my two lids of Candy Cap mushrooms this week. Thinking about using some in a RIS. Tagging @Eggman20 to let us know how his progresses.

Just thought I’d share this pic of how thick the krausen got on this stout. That’s a good 6 inches. Thankfully I put a blow off tube on there. After the wreck of a brew day I wasn’t chancing anything else lol[IMG]

Yes, but not as overwhelming as I thought it would be according to various info on the web. It's not 'pure and only' maple either. There's also a slight mushroomish aroma, too....imagine that!

A few warm(er) days in Ohio has already got me thinking spring. Brewing up a cream ale, based loosely on @DrewBeechum 's pre-pro recipe. 40% 2-row, 40% 6-row, 20% flaked maize. 20 IBU, but subbing Willamette with Czech Saaz, cuz I have it. Fermenting on the lowest end of US-05's range, then cold crashing for a few weeks.

Bottled up 3 fruited variants of my saison. Pomelo/Anise, Albariño grapes, and Cab grape pomace. Really excited for these, especially the wine grapes. The Cab skins were throwing off a lot of watermelon/peach/rosé. Hopefully I’ll be cracking bottles by April/May.

Brewing up a single hop single malt beer with comet and maris otter. Will ferment with Verdant Slurry.

My snarky political name for this beer will be Giant Comet 2024.
