We’re lucky, locally, to be blessed with an abundance of beer brands which are both big on flavor and (occasionally) big when it comes to A.B.V. At least I think we’re lucky! Especially when the big beers actually taste good, too.

For what it’s worth, I am about a two-a-day drinker, myself (and that is a massive change from when I was putting away a case of swill every damned-day), so you are not at all alone in your drinking habits and/or feeling it the next day.

There’s enough space around these parts for both kinds of drinkers, I reckon.

Steel Toe Size 11 is a $18 12oz can 4pack. I am happy to drop that money once a year, but that is one and done. Unless they can capture that wonderful melon goodness of the first release, my love is quickly lost.

Really? Wow, I thought $18 16 oz 4 packs were spendy, this is too much:astonished:!!

Container size is such a mind bend. People buy $10 crowlers all day at .40/oz but a .375/oz $18 12oz 4pk is like holy WTF?! At least that was my reaction when I saw the price.

Agreed, but not all that bendy....I don't buy $10 crowlers either:wink:

They definitely do, was surprised to see them on tap and in the fridge at a place in Tokyo a couple years ago.

Central Iowan here. While I routinely pull in stouts from out of state breweries, we are flooded with great local IPA's between the Des Moines metro and Iowa City/Cedar Rapids metro breweries. Plus that big one on the northeast corner of the state. That said, really the only out of state brewery I constantly jump on IPA's from is Blackstack. Anytime I have a friend traveling to Minnesota, they know they'd better not come back without some Blackstack IPA's for me.

I haven’t seen it anywhere any more and I bounce around the liquor stores pretty regularly ... I still have a 4pk. FT: 4pk Jurassic Park; ISO: GTS 2018 or 2020 :rofl:

I do believe Midway Liquor (a couple of blocks from the Stack) orders pretty heavily, but aI haven’t checked their allotment, yet.

My local made it sound like they had the option to bring in JP and Tangerine and didn’t. No idea why.

In Tokyo and Yokohama also, I suspect.
My World-Wide Web host changed its address (again); so you can now find my regular bookmark page (with all the solid Japanese links ) here.
Revolution Brwg. is now also available in Japan. But it is its flagship beers like Anti-Hero IPA. The Deep Woods beers will not be found {until the next time I visit Japan, maybe}.
On a prior (2014) FlyerTalk Japan Do!, we had a pub crawl of bars in Yokohama, which included the phenomenal Thrash Zone bar :fire: {a metal | hard rock bar}. You can see some of my photographs in the above thread.

Heading up to Rochester in a few weeks and was curious if Black Stack distributes any of their beer in the area? Thanks in advance for any help.
