I’m looking for a freestanding or builtin kegerator for behind a bar I’m building. I have enough space around the kegerator to vent it. The bar area is 25" deep and adding 3 or 4" to that is workable, but I think this rules out something like the BevAir BM23 which is 29" deep before I even allow space for ventilation. Based on some research here I would like to be able to fit a 1/6 and slim 1/4 keg. I would also like dual faucets. With that in mind what Kegerators are recommended. I see a lot of recommendation for the BM23, but as I don't have the space for that what is the next best? A True TDD-1 seems nice, but that comes with 1 faucet and I noticed there are some reports of True not allowing returns / repairs under warranty if its installed in a residential location. How about Summit & Kegco? Are they even in the same ballpark? I am planning to purchase from Beverage Factory so I pick my components or buy from somewhere like Summit and specify no tap so again I can pick and choose. Building my own Keezer is also an option I'm considering, but for the convenience I would like to just consider kegerators in this thread.
Pro tip. Change the dimensions of your bar to fit a kegerator not the other way around. If you speak to Beverage Factory directly and tell them your requirements they can find it for you. There are dozens of variables, starting with dimensions. Be aware that 95% of available kegerators are designed to hold 1 half bbl. A keg of beer is standard and the kegerator is built around that. So there is no magic in getting 15.5 gallons of beer into a smaller kegerator. They are all about the same size. You'll be looking for the other 5%. Add other constraints and your options are limited quickly. Cheers
