Adding notes when adding a beer.

    Can it be set up to add the notes as we're entering a new beer, as opposed to entering the beer, then going to make the change of entering the notes?

    It's not a huge thing, but, I added 4 beers today, and it dawned on me that maybe its a thing that could be streamlined. Le shrug.

    Agreed. It's so much easier to capture as much known information as possible on the initial add, than to have to reload the beer's page multiple times to add that content.

    It could technically be done and it might be someday (@Todd would have to respond to that aspect) but I know that I as a Moderator often have to clean up the text people submit before it appears on the site - things like spelling, capitalization, resolving references to Instagram or Facebook accounts, etc.

    Correct. When we did allow it, we were constantly having to clean things up. We had a lot of users entering in personal opinions on the beer or brewery too. It was a mess.

    I like accuracy and that can only be done by posting what it says on the package or the brewery's website and not a lot of people resort to that, I reckon.

    That's the only info I offer for addition as Notes. Maybe something in a brewery's social media posting on a recipe/release, but that's a rare exception.

    Exactly. I never add a description that’s not on the label.
