The random number generator for my beer selections is a fun form of gambling, one where I am a guaranteed winner.

Today's selection, Revolution Apple Brandy Barrel Ryeway.



Didn't know if I would like this because of apple, but it turned out to be one of my favorite releases this year (largely because of Ryeway, my favorite Deep Woods from Revolution).

If you see me return today, it's because I will have made the trek to Revolutions taproom reopen from COVID closures for the first time in 2021 today.

Glad to hear it was a favorite! Due to covid instead of venturing into the taproom in city I have been saving deep woods beers for my wife's birthday week since she (and I) love revolution's craft and this one is the top of the list to try!
That being said might go down there for some crowlers when we get closer to the b-day week. Cheers!

And I have to ask why you'd bother to drink a Kristal weissbier? Sure it's a Wiehenstephaner but they're so much nicer with the suspended goodness.

 

Poured into a 13 oz Teku glass canned 2/26/2021. Pours a hazy orange yellow with a half finger sticky white head that leaves thick streaks of lace with excellent retention. 4.5

Smell is ripe cantaloupe, papaya, tangerine, pineapple, peach, apricot, and a little hint of grapefruit rind. 4.5

Smell follows cantaloupe, papaya, peach, pineapple, tangerine, apricot, and a little hit of white grapefruit in the balanced and lingering finish. 4.75

Mouthfeel is a big medium, soft gentle almost creamy carbonation, not sticky or dry, and at 8.4% extremely approachable. 5

Overall another gem from Modestman. These guys are producing some of the best NEDIPA going in New England right now. 4.75

 

Have a good Friday. I just got off a 3 hr call with my gf. Having a rough time again and all. I applied to an Ohio job site with the recommendation from @Blogjackets . My mom is also trying to get me to do an apprenticeship(same website), but all I've ever wanted to do is design and release parts. I will still think about it. Still getting zero recruiter responses right now. Also I had 1.5 feet of sub last night again. Flamin Hot Nacho are top tier. Need to get to the post before 5PM so @Shanex can get his box. Been too broke all the damn time.
