But that was the gist of our previous discussion -- I don't. :slight_frown:

And to be fair, it's probably more than just IPAs crowding the shelves, but they're definitely the biggest target.

LOL, figures this would be from a brewery that is only 30 min drive from my house. I have yet to try anything from this brewery thus far. I didn’t vote yet, because I want to give it a try first. Definetly looks to be targeting a non-beer crowd.

Watch for the convenient low shelf placement of these. Little Timmy will be hiding 4-packs in your cart.

How soon before more of these kid-inspired flavors & colorful labels get noticed & laws are proposed to keep pace with discouraging cigarette packaging?

I'm just not interested in this style or others of it's ilk. Just does nothing for me. If others enjoy it, more power to them. It's a beautiful March day in my neck of the woods. I think I'll go open a Kolsch.

There is a New Orleans Brewery that opened a satellite location in Houston called Urban South. I think they have hit their stride during the Pandemic by cranking out these
    • Spill: The base layer of our fruited sour series. Spill can range from 5% to 5.5% depending on the batch. We use different variations of fruit each week for endless flavor possibilities.
    • Spilled: The second level of our fruited sour series clocking in at 6-6.5% ABV. Spilled is made with different fruit variants and candies each week.
    • Double Spilled: The second level of our Spilled series. A more fruited sour, made with almost twice the amount of fruit as Spilled.
    • Triple Spilled: Our third and highest fruit level of the Spilled series. Made with three times the amount of fruit for the ultimate blast of thiccc fruited sour beer at 6-6.5% ABV.
    • Split: A super fruited imperial sour made with the most amount of fruit and a higher ABV. This offering is the pinnacle of our sour spills series.
Not something I order by my daughter likes them, straight up fruit juice on the palate and in the glass. I always have a taste of hers and they are definitely fruit forward. This is just a logical progression of the kettle sours (BW/Gose) where they were fruiting a few years ago. These are also some of those things that can go super wrong in a can if not done properly.

I’m picky about my ipas, I don’t waste my palate on known meh beers just to drink an ipa.

That was Kool-Aid that did that. I was always amazed the light green powder could turn brown by just adding water. I happened to like that one though. The lime flavor was the one that was bad.

I voted with the minority and checked "Oh Yeah." But the graphics on the cans shown in this thread are a turn-off, which I don't like.

I think the only good sour beer is a fruited one, and if the flavors are inspired by Kool-Aid flavors, that's okay. But if the flavors are so concentrated that they over-power the sour character of the beer, well, that's out of-bounds and I'll call it an alcoholic fruit juice, not beer.

I was driving the other week and saw 5-6 billboards for seltzer. All I could keep thinking was when will beer flavored seltzer be a thing.

    Enjoy

Seltzer's cost less to make and creates more profits for breweries. It could possibly bring in new crowds or more females (it's a double edge sword kind of thing).

I drank some of Untitled Art's Grape Pixie Mix. Tastes EXACTLY like grape koolaid. Which is great if I wanted koolaid. However, I wanted beer, so felt let down.
