Also surprised the Kooks went so fast.

EQ has been pushing $30+ on BA bottles. I'm so desensitized to stout pricing because of them. I thought $75 for 3 bottles is perfectly fine and feel terrible about it.

I like to imagine the GME dip was just a rush of people cashing out to buy pastrytown boxes.

I love Stouts as much as anyone but none of those Pastry Town stouts sounded that good, especially when you had to buy them as a group

EQ makes good stouts though, sure they’re pricey but it’s quality. Still Kooks last year was meh at best and don’t even get me started on how bad Rum BA Cap’n Kooks was last summer....

I think I may have mentioned this (life is essentially ground hog day these days; if you’re lucky) but definitely we should add a series of stout vs their BA counterpart blind taste tests to the next post-vax meet up. $100 says the majority don’t get it right.

You city folk should consider a FLX meetup. We’ve got lots of wide open space.

Do you mean people will prefer the non-BA over the BA? Or people won't be able to tell which is the BA? @frozyn gets a pass here, but come on man. Give the regulars some more credit.

Yeah, EQ's stouts are still top shelf. It's been so long since I've had a stout from OH, so I honestly don't remember how good/bad they are..

My guess is won’t be able to tell which is BA and will tend to prefer non-BA.

I think the only BA stout I enjoyed more than the original was the Double Drupe, granted I haven't bought/tried that many of the BA myself. I did enjoy the Cookie Kooks 2 because it tasted like cocoa puffs and little kid nostalgia took over.

Had last years ba cookie kooks last night and it was horrible. Who would have thought cereal and bourbon don't mix well. I remember thoroughly enjoying the base beer though.

Looked on the website but couldn't find an answer. Can I proxy for someone who places a regular order for cans or whatever? Is there a limit to how many orders I can pick up?

Yes to proxy, no to limit.

I was able to taste a few of the pastrytown beers today.

BA Coffee and Waffles was great. The best of these coffee+maple beers make you feel like you're staring down a large stack of pancakes in a shitty diner with stale coffee and this one does that. I swear it's a good thing!

Free Refills! Was good though unusual. A lot of lemon lime, sprite type notes. I'm looking forward to the 4 pack.

The mint stout was solid. It was smooth, chocolatey, and the mint was nice without being medicinal. Speaking of medicinal, I recently made a mug of hot cocoa and added some peppermint oil. Let me just say a dab will do you!

You can also forgo the peppermint oil with 2oz of Rumple Minze:wink:, though I haven't seen that in stores in ages.

Fine, but that's not recommended as a natural remedy for an "oversupply" and the subsequent fast letdown which I hope you haven't had to deal with! (hope things are going well with your little one!!)

Rumple Minze is perhaps the remedy for adults at the end of the day.

Finally opened an ESB tonight....I enjoyed it...nice carmel, malty flavor. It reminded me a lot of the beer I was drinking at the Bear Mountain Octoberfest back in 2014 before I blacked out.

I really enjoyed the ESB too. Got a can of it at Domino Park
