I went and looked up pics of the first few batches of Sprang. It looks like a Kölsch with chill haze. Their recent pics look like a straight up DDH NEIPA. For what’s it’s worth, I remember that being one of my favorite beers from them back in the day.

Personally, I don’t trust Trillium to make a good Kolsch (as much as I would appreciate another good example
In Boston). If you open a can of Sprang looking for a lighter Nelson hopped IPA you’ll likely have a good time.

Just had a can of Sprang and it was delicious. Obviously not close to a kolsch but they aren’t claiming it to be. Better than the Fort Point I had last month and I used to love Fort Point. Better than the recent batch of Stillings Street which is also Nelson.

The Irish stout is solid. Glad they’ve released a variety of stouts lately.

Sprang and Big Sprang were an epiphany to me when I had them in the 750ml bottles back in the day. However at that time there weren't nearly as many domestically-made quality kolsch options or imports which were reasonably fresh. Now that I can get the real style fresh it's not quite the same. But I wouldn't turn Sprang down, either.

Was thinking the same. Bought a 4 pack yesterday and my thought was "what happened?"
This used to be a really great smaller beer from them. Now, it's just overly carbonated, kinda sour, but weirdly no head.

The Irish Stout is pretty spot on IMO though.

Somebody is! Sprang and big sprang are the number 1 and 2 rated kolsch's on this site!

Whatever they were using for yeast when they first came out with Sprang in growlers years ago was the best trillium ever was. Some of my fave IPAs ever (which sprang was lol)

Back at it for pours starting April 1st.

Wish the reservations were still day of only but otherwise see some of you there.

Wow, Barrel aged endless night and day is probably the best barrel aged beer I have had from Trillium. Beats out BA Affogato and Permutation 57

I was just coming here to ask what folks think. Untapped seem pretty pleased but they tend to skew positive. I wasn’t rushing to get a bottle but sounds like I should. Is the barrel strong, lately I’ve been pretty turned off by anything BA?

I thought it had a sour note I did not care for, but everyone else seems to be loving it so maybe it was just me.

Barrel was pretty strong. Thick, nice coffee with chocolate and vanilla comes out as it warms.

I couldn't pull the trigger on the Dusk Trill Dawn release. I hate to say it but I've lost faith in Trillium's ability to put out a solid stout.

Sounds like initial reports of BA Endless N&D are promising as some of you guys have noted. What were your. Thoughts on Dusk?

I've been getting this on a lot of newer Trillium stouts, so thank you for helping me stay away from this one.

I thought BA Endless Night was solid, not great. And not the best BA stout I've had from Trillium. It is definitely the thickest bodied stout I've had in a while, almost chewy. Lots of chocolate up front, other notes as it warms.

I thought Dusk was good and Endless Day & Night was excellent. One of the best BA stouts from them in awhile. I haven't been a fan of some of their more recent BA stouts (Chocolate Coconut Truffle, Resolution Break), but this was straight brownie fudge. Barrel wasn't over the top.

Dusk Trill Dawn didn't seem like the same beer as the last release to me, it's good but not "$2 cheaper for 250ml less beer" good. It wouldn't be a repeat bottle purchase but would have a taste on draft if it is around the first time I make it to the beer garden this spring.

Well I got a can of Sprang and damn it was better than I thought it would be. Closer to the old bottle flavor. Such a good change of pace even though it doesn't approach a true kolsch. Just sad after I checked the website and see they are sold out of Sprang in Canton.

I plan to have them all draft on Saturday at noon in fort point! Or what I can
