Thats not a sweet stout either, no lacto, I mean I guess you can still call a stout "sweet" without that. Though its basically a black ale kind of porter, kind of stout, kind of whatever they want it to be called at the moment ha. All that to said, its still excellent, but has no real "style"

Pics may follow if it is not too busy. Maybe they have a porter on tap...

Ultra Amber to start Friday night. Glad to see the Boston area get some nice temps @mickyge, our fam in Saugus, Peabody & N. Reading will love it. We're in the middle of oak tree pollen season here. I washed both mustangs and left one in the garage. Next day it was covered with pollen from the garage door being open during the day.

It says Imperial Porter on untappd. Can't always believe everything on BA sometimes... I would say that's a fine porter entry. Cheers!

It also uses oats, so I could be an oatmeal stout as well :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh "Sweet". Yeah I picked it up at the store w/o any research aside from knowing the name was a "porter" only to get home and see on here this particular beer is listed differently.

HaHaHaHa well makes sense as they don't really declare it as any one particular style anywhere on the label.

Ready for a great weekend, between the porter tasting, a friend having a small BBQ (under 10 people) and both me and my wife are getting our first COVID shot this weekend! Let’s get started with some Bells Porter, cheers!

Really enjoyed that novel . . . he makes writing that POV look a hell of a lot easier than it is. Plus, the whole premise, two old friends doing an all-night pub crawl in Dublin, is kind of my idea of heaven.

Looks like the Demon Days album from Gorillaz. Not sure if it's a good move to make it look like that though, maybe they feel secure about it. Cheers!

    Happy Friday, BA!

Brau Brothers Thresher Pilsner. This one just doesn't have it, IMO. Tastes like my poor homebrews which got too hot during fermentation..

    cheers!

    Ok, finally. FRIDAY.
    Also, huzzah to Porter Weekend!
So, this will look familiar, and in an eerie serendipitous parallel universe, I'm starting with the same beer as @ChicagoJ - and it's a classic.
Samuel Smith Taddy Porter. 5%. Proper Imperial Pint bottle.
Damn this is good beer, and the one that I haven't head in over a decade.
For the weight, this is right up there in 4.4-4.5 range.

Cheers, nice to be here at the virtual bar.
Also @Insomniac - do it, but don't be surprised if it lessens your avatar impact (wink) and you end up with too many running shoes a la Imelda Marcos (wink wink)

This is pretty nice. $8.99 for a 6pk. Smooth. Hops do linger but I must agree with some reviews that it really isn't that dank at all. Too clean for that. Chin Chin to all on BA!! Keep on smiling and have a great weekend!
