My last can of the Cloudwater DDH IPA with Mosaic, Citra, Mosaic cryo and Citra cryo hops brewed by Trillium, I Have Become The Boat. Super nice, flowery, berries, tropical fruit, citrus, clean, dank, medical marijuana, beautiful, taste follows with some extra pine resin, slight bitterness, orange peel, real nice. Cheers all!

First Suarez courtesy of the super generous @jrc1093  First sips were very roasty flavor but quickly mellowed out to the roasty mineral profile that has been described in their beers. Light bitterness and easy drinker! Good beer!

Yeah, its great. His novel Smile is also excellent, which was his prior novel to this, he has had a few late career gems now. I have already spilled some Guinness Extra Stout on accident on the cover, so its already been christened by the beer gods

this is becoming my favorite stout out of jersey. Perfect amount of acidity and smooth sweet “ish” chocolate.

I’ll join you all later in the Porter tasting. This beer will get me through the meatball making process.

    cheers.

allow me to share an absolutely outstanding band. The guitar tone is haunting. Some of the most atmospheric guitar solos I’ve ever heard. King Fowler knows how to tell a spooky story never missing a beat while drumming AND singing. I love them so much. Everything they do. Unique in their own way and relatively unknown. I’m obsessed.

Green Thai curry for dinner. A few extra Thai chili’s added and then enough hot sauce mixed in to redden it slightly. Delish.

Beer three is another in the seemingly endless list of great IPA’s from Great Lakes. Cheers. [IMG] [IMG]

Ommegang Hennepin kept me company while cooking

Harakiri for the Sky was sold to me as post-black metal ... whatever that means. I get the black metal vibes from the tremolo picking and blast beats, but the overall sound - to me - is more melodic death metal, especially the first half of the album. The vocals are almost more hardcore, and remind me a lot of The Ocean Collective. Really interesting and engaging album.

Taxes completed today. My completed payment of last year’s dues should help a couple stimulus checks not bounce. Moving on to something lighter and will probably head in after this one...

Chimay Doree has a bit more carbonation to lighten it even further than the ABV drop accounts for.

Hanging on the front porch bird watching with the grunge station on Pandora. Off work tomorrow so we can attend the motorcycle races on Daytona Speedway. If you have never stood at the fence when a pack of bike racers scream by at 190 mph you should....balls of titanium. Dankful....

Edmund Fitzgerald from Great Lakes Brewing Company. One of my favorite beers regardless of style and one of my first few reviews here. Still a favorite anytime of year. Cross post to online porter thread. No need for a music pairing as many Advocates will already be hearing Gordon Lightfoot's song in their minds. Cheers!
