I think I shall join you fellas. This another really nice NEDIPA from this very underrated brewery. Cheers all.

 

This is a triple post beer, both with New Beer Weekend, and a pending post in the Beer Advocate Porter Online Tasting Thread which we hope you are able to join for a beer or two, or perhaps a scroll through if you don't have a Porter on hand.

I start with a Robust Porter, Bell's Porter.



I consider this truly robust, more like a Black IPA than an Porter with a heavy hops presence I wasn't expecting based on the "slight" hop bitterness per the beer description. I really enjoyed it, and you will if you like a bitter hoppy Porter.

Today's WXRT Saturday Morning Flashback is a two for, 1990 and 1991. Lots of great music from both years, not sure why they combined them as they have recently for 1990s features.

Feeling spunky today, I am hitting this odd sour second. Not loving the nose, but pretty tasty in an odd kind of way.

 

Good morning advocates. Drinking a bottle logic scatter signal. A 14.8% ABV Imperial Mocha-Marshmallow Stout aged from 12 to 24 months in a medley bourbon barrels cheers

 

Drinking this beer is a special way to start the day!

Good day BAs! Off to a lovely warm and sunny start to a pre-Spring March day - around here don't count on Spring until after 15 April, and then it's still a bit iffy. Going to burn a pile of brush and wash cars later. Today's New Breakfast Beer:



Damn, this is good! Not quite as tasty as Southern Tier's Plum Noir, but still a good example of a rarely used fruit showing up in a beer. Rating 4.2, rDev +0.2%. Haul hint - this one's coming your way!

 

A somewhat restless night of over eight hours of “sleep” has me in the mood for a morning stout as the bacon crisps up

Cumbre Gilded Age Porter leading off my day. 5.7% - Absolutely one of my rotating stable usual beers in the fridge.
Impressions: great brown/black color, a little lace, good head if I pour it well (this one was not such a great pour) and it has some good dark nose for days - roasted malts, a little dark chocolate licorice edge to it as it warms. Just a great, everyday kind of porter. Tons of character for its ABV. Lacks a bit of that mouthwatering chalky bitterness from the Sam Smith Taddy Porter from yesterday, but this is definitely "New World" porter. Love the aromas and body on this.
