I guess the time change is slowing us down today.

Time to rise and shine with this.

Still have just over half of my New Beer Sunday / Online BA Porter Tasting beer in my pint glass. A little strong to start the day, it doesn't know I have pressing Rotisserie Baseball work to tend to.

    Heretic Brewing Chocolate Hazelnut Porter

Quick take, this is a solid Porter with Hazelnut added, taste not as strong as expected, but pleasant, balanced, and stronger than a 7% ABV would lead. Enjoying this early morning beer.

Postponing my final flashback music tribute to honour Marvelous Marvin Hagler, one of the all time greats in perhaps his finest moment. One of Brockton and Boxing's Finest.

Finishing last night's Tired Hands stout brewed with maple syrup, Italian coffee, vanilla, and milk sugar. Blended with stout aged in Buffalo Trace barrels. 12.5% ABV. A lot going on here, but this is approachable albeit with a tad too much heat. Looking forward to seeing how it matures.

North London derby today, c'mon you Spurs! Beat Arse! More brews later!

Good day BAs! Off to a non-porter start to this warm and sunny morning - well 40 degrees feels warm for March. Lost another hour off my life last night - hope to regain it in the fall. Today's New Breakfast Beer:

No words on the front of the label, just shaved chocolate on a brown and black background - a fitting prelude to this morning's trip down "Noir Alley". Otherwise a decently tasty brew - Rating 4.1, rDev +1%.

Been playing since friends Sophomore year in High School started our league in 1985. It will always be referred to as Rotisserie Baseball, the OG "Fantasy" League, in reverence on par with Strat-O-Matic Baseball.

Also released in 1985, this classice by John Fogerty.

And, "It's Ted Power I Love" (8 Wins and 27 Saves in 1985!)

Havin' a few tech issues here with imgur, but right now, after shoveling a good 4-5" of wet snow from the sidewalks here and neighboring... a good 40 minute work out.
Cumbre Gilded Age Porter. I don't care that it's Sunday... porter is good for the morning.
    Cheers!

In Newfoundland it has only been in the last 4 or 5 years that new craft breweries have started opening up. Here's one from the western part of the island in Deer Lake. I need to get drinking more local stuff so I can start getting the brewery list on here more up to date.

Rough Waters Scallywag IPA. This starts with a nice crisp citrus attack that holds through the finish. Not bad at all, easy drinking at 5.5%

Some nice chill tunes to accompany some sipping.

It’s a stout and waffles kind of morning (waffles currently being cooked).

    Hey BA's

Happy last Sunday of winter - spring officially arrives next Saturday, and today is sunny and pleasant here - although a bit windy!

Having some coffee with my beer or ?

really like this - highly recommend - if you like coffee and stout - bought 3 - 4 pks already

Obligatory "smiling Emma" shot - back from nice walk

skunk cabbage - weird and stinky early wildflower in these parts - just made some homemade coleslaw with green cabbage, and added some kimchi to it - yummo!

Ahhhhhh, Strat-O-Matic baseball. Played that quite religiously in the 70's with my brother. Our first set was 1969. Amazing how using a players hitting card, a pitcher's card, and 3 die (1 red and 2 white) could produce such accurate results through a whole season.

Collective Arts Ransack the Universe. This was one of the early IPA's our liquor board brought in. Sure it's nice but why the hell don't they bring in a few more brands? Dammit!
