We can’t begin to afford to live in the area, but I’d be game if I could. Charleston in October is as good as it gets.

 

I’m kinda shocked I’m shipping East of all things, but about 1/3 of the participants are east of me, actually it’s a higher %.

 

Ok, it’s Monday and we’re now LIFless (except for the secret ones?) so let’s do another!

The wife and I have the ol’ anniversary coming up again in a few weeks. Back when we got married (shortly after they came out with electricity) it was fashionable in some circles to publish a wedding announcement with all pertinent details, and then some, in the local newspaper (it was shortly after moveable type also).

In addition to names, attendees, complete family history, full recount of meeting and courtship, education, occupations, etc, the last item listed - and the only item anyone ever read - was honeymoon destination.

Our trip was to San Francisco and Napa (my first beverage love being wine, before The Great Enlightenment), but that’s not what we put in the paper.

LIF box goes to the first correct guess of the country listed in the local papers as our totally fraudulent honeymoon location.

Note: One guess per round, if it goes too long I’ll give some hints (there’s only about 200 countries).

Amen to that, love to live there but I don’t know who can afford it. In my case, it’s just 2.5 hours away, so it’s like the old ‘you don’t need a boat if you have a friend with a boat...’

Had a bit of a busy weekend and boy did this thread grow. I feel like some bourbon, rye, or lambic would've made catching up easier, but alas I've yet to start drinking this evening. Going to have to rectify that shortly.

First, a couple of Haul Hints:
Haul Hint #1 - My box will contain neither milkshake IPAs, nor sour IPAs
Haul Hint #2 - My box will contain both WC and hazy IPAs, including what I believe to be the best WC IPA currently in production

And some more target hints:
Hint #4 - At least one US President was born in the state to which I'm shipping
Hint #5 - My target's zip code includes both even and odd numbers

Previous target hints:
Hint #1 - Considering I live in San Diego, it's no surprise that my box was ordered eastward
Hint #2 - I've visited the state to which I'm shipping
Hint #3 - I'm shipping to a state that borders at least three other states

And once I start drinking, I need to update my spreadsheet as I know some of you have eliminated yourselves as my potential sender...

I swear when I read that hint I said to my wife "well, it depends how you define a region." Alas, my bait didn't work and you stayed vague, but I'll be watching.

 

That’s not the answer, but great guess, actually went there for our 10th! Woulda been way out of our league for the honeymoon lol.

 

Unless you live much further west than I think I remember, that should rule me out.

Since @BBThunderbolt took my first guess, I'll go with Germany.

Hint #1: I’m shipping west

Hint #2: I’ve never shipped to my target before

Hint #3: My target’s state touches one of those oft-discussed large bodies of water

Hint #4: Suprisingly, my target’s state’s flagship university has had some trouble with my state’s flagship school in football over the last couple decades.

 

Yeah, I've had 3 or 4 @Roguer hints that I think rule me out, but I just can't scratch him off the list with his gamesmanship. I just have his name with 4 asterisks next to it on my list.
