Guinness Draught is my favorite by far. That said I always seek out Browar Jablonowo's Belfast whenever I go back home.

I bought a Guinness 4 pack cans that says “Limited edition Slainte” but the cans say “Guinness Draught Stout”. Are these just the same or something different?

Just a bit of extra marketing.
Sláinte just means health in Irish and Gaelic Scottish in the same way as cheers, prost etc.

Murphy's is probably my fave. Eventide here in ATL makes a pretty good one.

Okay, my 3 favourites that I get locally.
O'Hara's, Guinness Extra and Murphy's. In that order.

Apart from the obvious Irish choices already mentioned here, and a few hard-to-get cask English stouts, I go for Primátor Stout from the Czech Republic.

Unfortunately, hasn't been available this side of the pond in years.

Guinness Foreign Extra, then Murphys, although neither are readily available in Australia. The locally brewed Guinness Extra Stout isn't bad, drinking it as I type. Happy St Patrick's...

Its not a dry Irish Stout but I usually pick up a 4pk of Old Rasputin and a half pint of Jameson. Gives me a reason to find OR and I dont go out for St Pats Day. I actually usually work that day but not this year. I will be celebrating on Sat though because I have 15# of my homemade corned beef to cook......and daughter and boyfriend just cancelled....need guests.

It depends on how many people attend our dinner. If dads family attends we get a Guinness keg. If mother's side comes we just get some Murphy's tall boys.

Beamish. Definitely the best of the Big 3 (Gunniess, Murphy’s. Beamish).

And also: fuck Carlsberg USA for taking it away from us. What a tease.

Why is Beamish considered one of the big 3 when it hasn't been exported to the US for so many years?

Mostly conjecture on my part. I recall Beamish, Murphy’s and Guinness sometimes being nicknamed “the big 3”, the most popular stout breweries on the island. No idea how accurate this is nor how common this phraseology is. I still like to use it though. It’s fun haha

See the date(s) on that article?

I think Black Lager had been gone at least that long. And I don't think I've ever seen Porterhouse over here.

I probably had some better craft one-off versions, but based on the above discussion I'd have to go with Guinness Extra Stout. After all it was at my gateway to beer.
