If my target were to go back through my posts on this thread, they would find mention of an incident that occurred in my childhood. Embedded in that post is a portion of the name of their location, more or less.

 

If I wasn't out before, this clinches it.

 

You did a good job with the clues. I had you on my short list of probables for a while, and I felt a little more confident with each clue, but not quite to the point where I was ready to make the call out until this last hint.

I'm currently reading a book called Command And Control, by Eric Schlosser. At one point, the author discusses an incident 60yrs ago, when a B-52 cracked up in midair and sent two 4-megaton thermonuclear weapons plummeting to the ground. All but one of the failsafe systems for these weapons onboard the aircraft failed, one (that was incidentally, around the same time, found to frequently malfunction) kept these two weapons from making the southeastern US glow. The core of one of these weapons is still in the ground today. If you reside in the state where this happened, you might want to be careful where you dig, but you won't have to worry about me blowing up your porch, as you are someone else's target.

Just though I'd mention that for several days I've eliminated all but 7 of y'all, and since then the same stubborn 7 keep on not eliminating themselves.
