Still at Temperate Habits Brewing, now having their Bold Strategy IPA. It's a definite step up from the Pale.

 

Having a Tired Hands Refreshing DIPA as I mull over dinner options. Blahhh day, but I did chauffeur Mom to get her second shot. She believes this is her gateway to getting back to the casino lol. She's a trip

Slowest Thirsty Thurs I can remember around here you St Patty's day swillers

 

Beer number three is some triple IPA goodness I’ve been on a kick with recently. There has been little new coming into stores, so I’m falling back on some old familiars. Cheers.

 

Cool rainy day out. Stopped and grabbed this six pack in my way to my Covid vaccine part 2. My arm was really sore just minutes after being injected. Guessing it was the micro chip going in.

Cracked a beer when I got home. Beautiful color. There is some hazy suspension going on but it’s not a murk bomb. I am really enjoying this beer. For a $10 six pack I will go back to this one.

Somehow I never heard this band before. I am really liking them and there is a link to Kraftwerk.

Moved over to Mt. Vernon's other newish brewery, District. Having their German Pils, Das District. It's solid.

 

Funny. My mom refused to get a vaccine, she’s 92. No reason but for no. Her one thing is getting her hair and nails done. She would not get a vaccine for quite a bit and then was threatened with no hair or nail appointments till you get vaxed. She answered with “ok, let’s go right now”. Her second shot is tomorrow. One stubborn crazy mom.

Head Hunter is plentiful by me, with the Pittsburgh brew pub 9 miles away. Most good restaurants/bar have it on tap. As easy as it is to get, I never get tired of it and have it frequently. There's some in my fridge right now. Recommend the main brewery tour in Ohio if you ever get the chance. Hotels within easy walking distance!

 

Evening BAs! Mrs. Z took a turn for the worse yesterday, and we spent almost 14 hours in two different locations/emergency departments. She was ultimately admitted to the specialty hospital in Tampa about 3am this morning for post surgery complications treatment. She’s a tough one, feeling much better today, and recovering nicely...

On my way home I’ve stopped into CCB for a burger and beers, and to pick up some beers for me and a couple of El Cats - Jai Alai:



I’m feeling somewhat energized eating/drinking for first time in over 36 hours...wife is in good hands...I’ll see you guys later for sure, Cheers!

 

Tree House Brewing Company - JJJuliusss! (6.8% NEIPA) - Overall rating = 4.56



My son in law sent me this fresh brew. I'm having it after a long, rainy day of conference calls; stuck inside near Pittsburgh, but this liquid sunshine couldn't help but perk up my mood. Here are my thoughts.

Having this from a 16oz canned on 2021-03-09

A - Murky straw-gold with a 2-finger pillowy-white head that sticks around leaving excellent lace.

S - Like being in an orange grove with wet earth right before it's time to harvest. Really nice.

T - A bounty of layered flavors. Orange, cracker, herbal, earthy, pine , honey and slightly dank. As the honey sweetness dissipates, the pine and orange baby aspirin bitterness comes in.

M - Medium body and carbonation. LIghtly resinous and then very dry.

O - World class. I've had plenty of NEIPAs and it isn't a style that I seek out, but this one tastes as much like a dry West Coast IPA as a NEIPA; somewhat similar to Heady Topper.

Sounds great, I could definitely spend some time in Ohio. NFL and R&R hall of fames, Fatheads, and Ceder Point.....and I've seen one brewery that's attached to a hotel, I think in Ohio. Cheers!
