Same here....maybe over beer some day. My oldest daughter's birth was one of the most stressful events of my life.

Count Basie seemed a real outlier until I remembered I actually saw him and his Big Band when I was a little kid at Disneyland . . .

 

My first thought was the Drop Kick Murphy’s. Then at the end I saw Yoko One, and I thought why would anyone want to see her in the first place, so Ono.

 

In college, we had a friend who's mom was a realtor, and he was always sneaking us into vacant, for-sale homes on the weekends to listen to Cypress Hill for hours and, well, do what you do while listening to Cypress Hill. I always wondered whether visitors to the Open Houses could tell, and whether that impeded the sale of those houses . . .

 

She (Yoko Ono) is more punk rock than many of the artists on this list . . . I don't necessarily enjoy her, but definitely respect her. As one of my college professors said of Nabokov, "So easy to admire, so hard to like."

 

I love the clips I’ve seen of the Drop Kick Murphy’s, I got my wife some beignets yesterday to have with her coffee, so it’s obviously a Cajun joint, and the Zydeco was going loud, I love that style as well, best part of New Orleans and, you have trouble finding jazz, there’s one Zydeco bar the rest all blaring hard rock.
