[IMG] I have seen this one a lot and because of my part time gig at the beer store it is my turn. Poured into a 13 oz tulip glass bottled on 2/13/21. Pours a hazy yellow with a 2 plus finger sticky white head that leaves thick streaks of lace with amazing retention. 4.75

Aroma is tangerine, pineapple, passionfruit, ripe melon, and apricot. 4.5

Taste follows tangerine, pineapple, cantaloupe, passionfruit, and apricot really balanced nothing dominant but really really good. 4.5

Mouthfeel is a solid medium, not sticky or dry, soft gentle almost creamy carbonation, and at 8.5% ridiculously easy going down. 4.75

Overall this one of those beers I have been dying to try and find out what all the hype is about and believe me it is well earned. Awesome stuff. 4.5 Cheers all

Great day of games yesterday, getting ready for the second half of the first round. Found half time carries foam brewers, an exciting development!

Last day of skiing at this hill, but our pass will be honored at the company's sister hill. Cool.

    What ski hill?

It's the missus' birthday today. We are starting with this and I have 4 more lambics in the lineup, 3 are from 2015. Then it's Orval tasting so it should be an ok birthday for her. I'm just imagining what it would be like to have kegs of this stuff, the 25 cl bottle is just a tease!

    Cherry Chouffe

I expected the large Chouffe head but this is the best fruited beer I’ve ever had either way. The sweet/tart cherry is real. Not cough syrup at all. Medium bodied for 8% alcohol. No heat. Funk from the yeast. It really is awesome. But is this McChouffe with cherries? Is it la Chouffe with cherries? Or it’s own thing? Either way I’m shocked at how much I love this and letting it get up to cellar temp was a great move.

Such an amazing and strong cherry flavor without being artificial in any way. Sweet dark cherry and a tart bite with their yeast. :astonished::heart_eyes:

It’s amazing. I picked it up thinking coriander and cherry would be a good combo and it was so real. A lot of times it gets medicinal with cherry but the tartness was on point

Never seen the cherry Chouffe but I love their beers!

Here's me with Chris Brauweraerts, one of the founders of the Achouffe Brewery in Antwerp for the Modeste festival 2015. Very nice man.

Cross post with the New Beer Weekend thread. This is my second attempt, though the first was a cross rating pairing with Irish Whiskey, in this thread going strong through the weekend.

    Guinness Nitro Cold Brew Coffee

Long story short, looked great, smelled so-so, tasted like frappuccino, not for me.

Will enjoy WXRT's Saturday Morning Flashback more while cramming for my upcoming draft later today. 1969 is the year, the year I was born. Here is how the set started.

    More cowbell flute.

This seems to have gained on the ginger front from my recollections. Still has a roast and wood note in back, though.

After this and in the spirit of competition, I might do another side-by-side in that thread today.

At least one beer this morning before I drive to the hospital in Tampa - Tree House’s “Human Condition”, a milk stout brewed with coconut, caramel and chocolate:

Canned 1/21/21. Poured at 55°. The coconut is subtle, and didn’t show up for me until the beer continued to warm. A fine tasting offering, and highly rated by many, but in my milk stout world this one is just good...

Got a lot on my plate today...I took good notes, maybe a review later today. Cheers y’all!
