I won’t guess because I haven’t figured out if I’m in this BIF or not.

I will say that I have not seen even one of these bands listed live. I don’t attend concerts much anymore, but I used to go a lot in my 20s and 30s. There is a band on your list that was at one time in my life my favourite band. There is also one that is among my least favourite of all time.

When this LIF is won, you will need to tell us your favourite from the list.

Never seen: L.A. Guns. Just seems like that would be an odd band to have seen.
On stage twice: NOFX. Punk scenes seem more likely than others for on-stage antics, and most of the metal bands you listed are "bigger," therefore less likely to allow that.

My own live list overlaps a bit with that, in strange ways, but it's almost all in my CD collection (almost; I've literally never heard of 440 Six Pack).

It’s all play! Good grief, if any of us took these things seriously they would have no fun at all! Now sending beer to targets with the intent of destroying a porch, that we take very seriously.:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Haul Hint (and Hint Hint, I suppose): while my target has had some Cigar City, I am still going to be able to provide some CC brews completely new to him or her. I will be doing some beer shopping today that will provide a new brewery tick for my target, as well (anyone who has had me as a sender can probably guess this brewery). As an absolute shocker, any Funky Buddha I provide will be a new beer for my target.

Whether or not I do the rounds in Jax to collect some other brewery ticks is yet to be determined.

Hint #17: The two-character state abbreviations (e.g. FL for Florida, GA for Georgia) of this target and sender pair share one letter in common.

I’m guessing Rush - I know they were once my favorite. Didn’t see them live until Subdivisions but really enjoyed that show.

That one looks the outlier to me.
Dropkick Murphys I am guessing you have been on stage with, but that’s just because I have little idea who most of those are.

Rush is the band that is described in my next sentence. I’ve never liked them. I’m not much a fan of progressive rock. I like some earlier psychedelic progressive stuff, and I like some early power trios like Blue Cheer and Budgie, but I have no time for Rush. Part of it has to do with the music, part with some of their lyrics. I like that Geddy Lee is a baseball fan. That is as far as I go with Rush. I understand why people like them though.

Aren't you risking your Canadian citizenship by making that statement?

I love Rush, but I get it if people can't get past Geddy Lee's voice. But then again, I love prog rock, so I'm biased. :grinning:

I definitely liked their earlier albums more than the later stuff. And they will always be on my music mix with a few songs.
So I guessed wrong. So goes my luck and logic this BIF!

I’m in serious danger for a couple reasons.

    1. I don’t like Rush or The Tragically Hip.
    2. I like baseball far more than I like hockey (don’t tell anyone, but I never played organized hockey).
    3. I would need my arm twisted very, very hard to live anywhere in the country other than Toronto or Montreal.

Your #2 almost absolves you for your #1. BTW, I love Montreal . . . many years ago, I remotely managed a team based there, and was able to visit several times. My favorite restaurant (I was using an expense account) was Da Emma. Is that still around?

So, fun fact: according to the GF who works in the NICU out here, it's not actually ink: they put chapstick on their feet, and use special paper. That's how you don't end up with stained babies and ink everywhere after the fact.

Sure, Hank Williams is great (at least the senior/original!), but have you ever been on stage with Hank WILSON??!?

First and foremost: congratulations! Welcome to the BIF family lil' Miss Barber!

OK, so I've been on the fence for a while, but now that we've had a couple of wrong guesses, I think I'm ready to venture out on the limb. I have been looking your direction for some time, and that last hint about a recent want-add is enough to push me off the fence and into the cowpie and... I don't know I'm losing thread of this metaphor. Anyway, FBarber, I choose you as my sender!
    Did I do it right?

nah it was just a long stretch at work that didn't leave a lot of time for hint-smithing, but I have been Idle enough, I shan't T[a]rry any longer!*
