Dude, not to speak for @WunderLlama , but ... WE. ARE. THERE!

I can't wait to get back to New England, I really can't. I plan on taking my partner on beercation trips to Vermont and Maine before the end of 2021. We'll see if those pan out, but that's the plan.

I just heard about George's Coney Island the other day, coincidentally. I found it rather odd that it was in Worcester, as I've only heard about the more rather famous Coney Island, obviously. Sounds like a place I definitely need to visit!

Armsby Abbey is quality crafted, localvore foods with excellent curated beers. Incredible food and beers.

George’s is also incredible food but at the the other end of the food spectrum. you’ve been out on the town in WOOSTAH , had a few drinks and need to soak it up. Georges has Coney Island dogs with a meat sauce , onions and mustard on a steamed bun, fresh cucumber pickle slices and table talk pies. I think of Edward Hoppers picture, Nighthawks, when I visit this fine dining establishment

Hahahaha, my ex boyfriend lived in Worcester. He liked black metal and I developed a strong dislike of Emperor during the time we were together.

Given your musical predilections, hopefully you've since found it in you to revisit Emperor.

If not, check out Leprous, who was Ihsahn's touring band for a while before breaking off into their own proggy lyrical metal-ish outfit. Ihsahn does guest vocals on Contaminate Me, and it's glorious. They're not really black metal at all as a separate band, despite their roots.

Oh god, I would have loved to have seen AC/DC with Bon Scott. He was fucking sexy. Crazy but sexy. I'm a bit too young to have managed that though.

I saw Priest during the Painkiller tour some time around 1990? Still one of the best stadium shows I've been to. Speaking of loud shows, I was by the speaker stacks at Motorhead, that was a day I should have been wearing ear plugs.

Mike Ness' voice kills me. It's just so good. Wasn't super impressed the one time I saw Social D live, they weren't quite phoning it in but it wasn't all that.

I've seen Steel Panther three times, and well, I've remained fully clothed all three times. The ladies who get up on stage frequently do not. :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, I had the honor to be your sender in a previous BIF. Now I'm honored to be your target.

For those who were wondering about the clue that nailed it for me. @woemad was talking about the late great College/Pro hockey coach Herb Brooks. He coached the Minnesota Golden Gophers, The Miracle on Ice team, New York Rangers, the New Jersey Devils, Pittsburgh Penguins, and the Minnesota North Stars.

He also coached at the university I graduated from for 1 season - The St Cloud State Huskies. He did it to help transition SCSU from D3 hockey to D1, and promote the construction of a new arena for the team - named in his honor after his death - with the road by it also named in his honor.

I remember when he passed away. The news was actually broken on a talk radio show out of the twin cities, before it was broken officially, by a bystander to the crash that killed him. Yes, I was listening to said show at the time.

The actor he was referring to is, of course Kurt Russell, who my memory banks remembered that he played in MLB farm teams in his younger days. The movie was Miracle - I highly recommend it, if you haven't watched it.

So, I don't remember which clue I thought marked me off, but your last clue hit me with a 2x4.

    Haul Hint #something:

Did a round of hops buying at my favorite local bottleshop today, and following the advice given by Alvarado Street Brewery, these need to be drank asap. Which means I'll give a few more hints tonight/tomorrow, then a hop missile will be headed eastwards on Mon/Tues.

There's also a couple four packs of Sante Adairius lagers in there, but does my target like pilsners? Not sure. But the "foggy ipas" from Humble Sea should be just what he's after.

Also, those cardboard holders for the 4 packs are surprisingly sturdy.

Many years ago, I was seeing 3 Inches of Blood at my local venue (Brick by Brick) and had shown up fairly early. During one of the opening bands, 3IoB's drummer came out of the back, scanned the room, and walked straight towards me. I was mildly perplexed, but the ensuing conversation was rather entertaining.
Drummer: Hey man, how's it goin'?
Me: Good, looking forward to your set tonight.
Drummer: Thanks. Hey, do you happen to have any pot or know where to score some?
Me: No, sorry man, I don't smoke.
    Drummer: Wait. What?
    Me: Yeah, don't smoke.
Drummer: You're not fucking with me.
Me: Haha, no. I'm sure if you ask anyone else in here you have better than even odds of scoring, but your first guess was a miss.
    Drummer: Huh...uhh...thanks man.

Suffice to say, the metalhead look - coupled with being named after a Grateful Dead song - is an excellent way to surprise people when you say you don't smoke.

What, you mean Rush has songs other than "Tom Sawyer" and "Subdivisions"? :stuck_out_tongue:

I know "Tall Poppy Syndrome" is the outlier in their catalog at this point, but I still have a huge soft spot for that album. I saw their US debut at ProgPower in 2010 (and have seen them subsequently several times) and "White" was absolutely crushing live.

I also saw them with Ihsahn at ProgPower in 2011, which was absolutely incredible. His first three solo albums are all top-tier extreme prog and the setlist was phenomenal. Most of the crowd had no clue what to think, but that was a hell of a set.

Ihsahn's solo albums are making me value Emperor less and less. I thought Emperor was the standard for progressive black metal; Ihsahn's solo work is seriously progressive black metal to an extent that Emperor never really reached (in my humble and admittedly inexperienced opinion).

As a drummer, I could listen to Subdivisions all day, every day. Allegaeon's cover was excellent (they also covered Animate Me, which was even better, if a lesser known song). Riley's vox are absolutely insane; he covers the gamut from low death growls to higher shrieks, but has a wonderful clean singing voice, as well. Reminds me of Mikael in that regard, but as a better clean singer!

Adding some more hints - as with last time, new ones are bolded.

    Haul Hints:
Haul Hint #1 - My box will contain neither milkshake IPAs, nor sour IPAs
Haul Hint #2 - My box will contain both WC and hazy IPAs, including what I believe to be the best WC IPA currently in production
Haul Hint #3 - One of the mystery beers I send will have a rather unconventional ingredient that works surprisingly well
Haul Hint #4 - If my target is allergic to nuts, they'd better have an epi-pen ready - some beers are worth risking death for
Haul Hint #5 - My two favorite breweries will be well-represented. A few of you can rather easily guess one of them, while the other is referenced in Haul Hint #2
Haul Hint #6 - Multiple types of spirit barrels will be represented in the box

    Target Hints:
Hint #1 - Considering I live in San Diego, it's no surprise that my box was ordered eastward
Hint #2 - I've visited the state to which I'm shipping
Hint #3 - I'm shipping to a state that borders at least three other states
Hint #4 - At least one US President was born in the state to which I'm shipping
Hint #5 - My target's zip code includes both even and odd numbers
Hint #6 - My box will travel through at least seven states on its journey
Hint #7 - My target has a non-zero number of peninsulas nearby
Hint #8 - The state to which I'm shipping has been home to MLB, NFL, NBA, and NHL teams at some point in the last 50 years, but may not be home to all of those leagues currently
Hint #9 - My target lives within 100 miles of a large body of water
Hint #10 - My box will be going to one of the original thirteen colonies

#2 - My targets state touches a large body of water.
#3 - I have been in my targets county, and I am trying to remember if I've been in her/his town.

#5 - My target lives in one of the below states.
#6 - A product and a service that the vast majority of us have used also calls my targets city home.
#7 - If the Interstate Highway closest to you is I-"Number Tony Stewart had his first few years in NASCARs top Division", you are not my target.
#8 - There is no Big 10 school in my targets state.
#9 - There is no Big 12 school in my targets state.
#10 - At least 1 piece of swag I send will be totally useless to my target.
