Good day Advocates. Walked two and a quarter hours this morning. Most significant for where I live, that walk was done in shorts and sandals.

Just finished two hours of lifting, so it’s definitely beer time. I’ll save Cigar City some problems later and just rename their beer on their behalf. So, I’m currently enjoying a Florida Individual DIPA. Cheers. .

 

Looks like spring break is getting out of hand in Florida. I swear, some of these people are so f-ing stupid you could put a lit candle by one ear and blow it out through the other.

Beer number two is a new Ontario DIPA and it is a good one. Will get more tomorrow. Cheers.

Having some fresh farm eggs for dinner. So much better than those bland, neutralized things you get from the grocery store.

Beer three is from Great Lakes in Toronto. One of about five IPA’s I have in rotation from them lately. Cheers.

 

Yes, I really enjoyed this years version, Dark Matter Coffee was the cans I had and they were great. Will definitely seek out more next Fall, it may take that long to clear my refrigerator (still 195 to go).

Deth's Tar was stellar this year, may have been their best batch ever as well. Only the two Ryeways (Ryeway to Heaven and Apple Brandy) outdid Deth's Tar this season. My brother said my gifted Thundertaker yesterday was awesome as well. Best Barrel Program in Chicago the past few years, both in quality and price value.

Moderate pour yielded a two inch head at first, then I waited a bit to pour more ending up with an almost one inch head after the initial head subsided. Slightly off white head over a hazy, golden orange body with lacing. Nose of orange and slight vanilla. Taste of creamsicle, then giving way to an orange tartness which leaves the vanilla beans behind. Good feel and overall, pretty tasty and would recommend to the lactose tolerant among us.
