I ran weekend dinner specials. My recipes and plating but there’s always critics I’m sure u know food is hard lol. We had a pizza oven and I was the “dough” guy because of my history of baking and pastry work. Focaccia, flatbreads, crossaints, scones, you name it. My hands from scratch. Hence my attitude about the wet dough being “ ok enough “ lol. There was this white table cloth spot that refused to hire me even with a three course dessert trial I ran beautifully all the servers verbally commented so. But that “head chef” was a prick and I no doubt out shined his menu. So I took up sauté instead. Anyways. 1200 is nuts. This place was a Sunday church during day college crowd at night. There’s an issue with hard drugs though among the chefs and lack of caring with the front of house and they lost the liquor license then just decided to close for good. I miss cooking but can never go back. Not with two kids to care for

3 of my brothers were cooks as well. All have our own thing. I do pastry. One does grill one does app/expo.

 

Draining a stupid 19.2oz can of Deschutes Royal Fresh ImpIPA. Is a good beer, but this format is just as dumb as the 22oz bottle.

Do I need 32 oz? Of course not, but why would you even ask that?

 

How is it going?

Pulled some weeds in the garden earlier, had a frozen Kirkland Signature (Costco) cheese pizza + Canadian bacon for dinner. And now it's beer o'clock!

2018 vintage and it tastes better now than when it was fresh...in my humble opinion.

Murphy's Stout. April is acomin'. Got to drink these dry March beers up. Watching Gun's and Roses concert on Studio channel. Axl seems to still have it after all these years. Cheers!

 

I feel you one, of mine is is pushing that age too and is really slowing down, he's my hockey buddy. He pretty much stopped grooming himself, not a good sign. Cheers to our fur buddies.
