Howdy all, currently drinking as often on mondays Leffe Tripel as it’s a regular purchase.

Finally spring seems to have reached us for good with warm temperatures, a bit above 22c expected later today.

Listening to Red Hot Chili Peppers, always enjoyable this band too...

    Cheers!

What has become of Canadian « friendliness » and « hospitality » if this guy gets to laugh at my beer of choice?

I’ll accept your later apology only if you crack open a brew from Dieu du Ciel!

    ‘Santé!

Good day BAs! Snow overnight - I can see it on the tops of cars and on roofs - ground was too warm for it to stick. Bout o' gout today, too rare to take meds for but a nuisance for a couple of days every few months - damn purine metabolism defects! Today's New Breakfast Beer:

Wow! This one'll sneak up on you! Rating 4.1, rDev +1.2%.

Here we are with a local brew, it says "wheat" so I have no idea what style it's supposed to be. Tasting it there's an odd little flavour I can't quite identify but it doesn't fit with any off flavours. It's quite bright which almost surprises me. Did they filter out more flavour. My guess it's an American wheat as there are no descriptors to be a Weiss or wit. It's ok but it's not a style I would typically go for.

Hey Shanex! I wasn't laughing at your beer of choice, just commenting that it wouldn't be me, especially if I had the selection you do. What kind of DDC do you want me to open? How about a 2012 Peche Mortel? There's more in the cellar too. You could come over for a visit and we can discuss the ups and downs of drinking AB products, have you tried a Deus since they bought Bosteels? I have over 1000 bottles in my cellar, I'm sure I could find you something to write home about. :stuck_out_tongue:

Good morning BAs! Dogs walked/fed, kitchen chores done...this morning I’m drinking my hands down favorite beer, courtesy of @beergoot - Pliny the Elder:

Bottled 2/14/21. Delicious bitter grapefruit with pine hop flavors, and a firm malt base.

Back in the garage while it is still in the mid 70s this morning. Yesterday’s attempt to buy a car from a large Tampa dealership was an exercise in frustration. We may try another place today. Cheers!

Hey Shanex, here's a quick 3 I pulled out. There's more but these were a quick grab. What's your poison?

This release came out great IMO. No frills or exotic flavors - just a moose of a stout. Cheers!

Ok Shanex, I got tired of waiting for you so I decided on the 2012 Derniere Volunté

Plenty of carbonation. Feels a hint of lychee on the front. Solid malt throughout. The finish mild umami with almost a taste of marmite.

Very interesting for a beer never meant to be put down, still quite enjoyable.

Ah, Monday morning. Is it Monday? I think so but I'm retired so it really doesn't matter. Thought I might mix things up a bit today but Yuengling Golden Pilsner has somehow migrated to the front of the fridge. So Yuengling again and that's not a bad thing.

I'm kicking off the week with Ommegang's Three Philosophers. A quad? Sure. Mixed with a touch of Kreik? Sure, give me some of that sweet stuff. This is actually Wifey's favorite beer ever. I just hope she doesn't drink it all on me.

Batting second today is Founders Panther Cub. I've seen a bit about this one and was really excited when I saw a couple of them at my local Wegman's Mixed Six section. Obviously, I pounced like a panther on them. This is a wonderful beer. It's a touch on the sweet side, but the bourbon, barrel, vanilla and maple are all noticeable. Wifey loves dark beers and she likes this one a lot. She's comparing it to a maple candy she used to eat at a neighbor's house when she was a kid. Without a doubt, two snaps up with a twist.
