Maybe they're going to build it out more and couldn't due to Covid in 2020?

That's a bummer. I would often stop in LH Bar on my way to/from CBC. I had a lot of great drafts there over the years and always appreciated the lengthy bottle list with lots of Belgian options. I remember a special evening back in 2013 when I stumbled onto 9 or 10 Hill Farmstead beers on tap and a mostly empty bar. And another time in 2016 when they were clearing out their vintage stock and had numerous Cantillon bottles available. The bartender even escorted us down to the secret room in the cellar to pick up our bottle! Had my first Trillium Fort Point there in 2013. Several cask ales too. Also had beers from Fox Farm, Russian River, Alchemist, Enlightenment, Bissell Bros, Saint Somewhere, Aslin.

Anyway, LH hasn't been one of my top spots in awhile but I'm sure I'll check it out when they reopen and I'm feeling safe with inside drinking. Don't really have much interest in visiting the brewery or beer garden.

Also, RIP Windsor Tap and B-Side.

Yeah I believe they wanted to open and use the inside space which was basically just a big open empty space last time we went. Just wish it was closer to the actually water or had a better view. I even enjoy harpoons space a bit more. Years back worked in the design center for Boston Beer co corporate  so in familiar with the area

As I stated previously, the bar seemed to be heading more in this direction. I'm not surprised by this but I do have a lot of memories in this place like rhino below
    So I am massively disappointed.

Was just thinking, since we were discussing locals bars we enjoyed around the time. No one ever seems to mention The Other Side or even Bukowskis. Loved visiting both and when I worked at the skate shop at the top of Newbury I’d frequent the other side. Always a fun tap list.

We ended up checking out Woburn hobo Saturday evening while in town. Having gone a few times I do actually thinks it’s a nice place to go and just chill and talk. The first bar side is much quieter and less echo. I did enjoy BA Godmother and Glorious.

The Other Side might be one of my favorite bars.

I have very fond memories of their burrito! The cheese they used(early on) was transcendent !

    I forgot about those!

That whole end of Newbury street was just a good time in the 90’s/early 00’s. They used to do movies there too. F I’d give anything to have a palate wrecker on the patio today. Miss the singing cup guy in front of Newbury comics. For whatever reason left hand milk stout and other beers stand out to me when I think of that happy place
