    Most of this morning's snow has melted off, so thought I might get a bit of spring clean-up in (+beer:wink:). (3-6" was predicted, so we skipped working today) Uh...nope!

    That actually seems like it’d fit in the side-by-side thread quite well. There’s a few of us fools over there.

    And well, I should’ve gotten an American comparison beer for this:

    Paceña adjunct lager from Bolivia - it’s actually ok. It’s fairly tasteless, but the light flavors a get are inoffensive.

    My Spanish was never good enough at its peak to be sure, but the website description of the beer seems to be lacking much about the beer’s makeup :slight_smile:

    Dinner planning with this really good stout from Sena Farm Brewing.
    I opened the bottle and cocoa, dark roast malt filled the air.
    These are good signs from a new brewery

    look: 4.25 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 3.5 | feel: 4 | overall: 3.75

    Fine, amber body, minor haze; huge head, foamy, sculpted and white; fat patches of foam stick to the glass. Gentle malt aroma infused with a light smell of peach initially then lightly spicy hops. Very mild grain base taste with some fair hop bitterness. Medium body; soft; well-rounded dryness throughout.

    Huge gush of beer on opening. No date information found on the bottle. The beer brings a certain delicateness in its taste and smell while providing a pretty robust picture in the glass; a bit metallic on the palate. Overall, the beer strikes me more of a traditional English IPA, but the brewery doesn't describe it one way or the other.

    Some acidity next with Blåkulla by Remmarlöv Gårdsbryggeri. Blåkulla is the mountain the witches travel to on easter in Swedish folklore.

    Despite heading into lockdown, we are still allowed to have outdoor gatherings of up to five people without issues. Problem is, I don't know five people without issues.

    No pic as I've posted it a few times in the last few days. I'm drinking Good Monster NE DIPA from Collective Arts. 8.0% and brewed with Citra, Amarillo, Mosaic and Simcoe hops. Cheers.
