Movie time, an Italian mafia film called Gomorrah. Have been drinking this fairly regularly over the past few weeks. A newish and very good DIPA from Ontario. Cheers.

I love that label sooooooo much

 

White Elm Red Velvet Imperial Pastry Stout, 12% ABV. Pours black with a one-finger brown head that left no lacing. Nose is sweet cake, cherry, and chocolate. Taste follows, moderately sweet, slightly bitter. Decent mouthfeel, if a bit thin and overcarbonated. Overall near-world-class.

As I took this out of the cupboard where it's been for a couple of months, I noted that it says to keep cool. So I coolly put it in the fridge.

 

The first couple times I tried this I was thinking "ok thats not too bad" This is my third and now Im thinking why did I buy the sixer. Not sure what happened to Stone but this EB used to be something to look forward too....now its mediocre at best - for me

That time of year.

 

Fort No Nonsense, a NE IPA, at Glenbrook Brewery. Hopped with Magnum in the boil and dry hopped with Citra, it has West Coast bitterness. Very nice. It's great having a brewery like Glenbrook right around the corner.

alpha king pale ale.

sweet peach, caramel and pine. Old school. I like it but probably won’t revisit. Glad to have !
