    Thank god.

But in all seriousness I was just referring to some back an forth previously after the article was posted. We can move on. Dude makes some really really god damn good stuff. And to add some humor, does anyone know if Phil Harmstead is still running shit at the brewery?

Fair enough- my post wasn't directed at you, but in the same spirit, I will be taking a bottle of Clara to Easter dinner.

Plus I believe a few early Brother Soigne runs went for $12 anyway so it's not like it's unprecedented for that particular case.
Personally I think that honor goes to the Tree House thread circa 2016, where a 2 hour wait was considered not bad and 4 cans each of 3 beers constituted a great haul. It's extra funny to me that it's shifted to now being the most nitpicky on the site over the last 4 years or so.

That Florence: Foudre is probably going to be least hyped of those releases but I'm gonna guess it's going to punch well above its weight.

And extended age Mary and Marie. Yikes.

    Sorry for talking about beer.

    Yikes?

Extended lagering =/= not extended aging.

I meant that in the "damn, that's awesome and yikes I'm sad I can't just drive up and get them" way.

Glad they are back!! I hope that Shaun finds that balance he's looking for, and can't wait for the day where I can go visit again. Spent a short time there with my wife in early Oct 2019 and was in awe of the beauty of not only HF, but staying just down the road from them with a magnificent view of the explosion of orange/red/yellow and still some splashes of green.

I don't suppose anyone would like to get a few things & ship them to MN?

True. I characterized them as overhead because they've been closed. It was a cost that wasn't necessarily tied to labor, but was being paid nonetheless.

Regardless, I misunderstood the sarcasm in the post that referenced them having no overhead.

I've always felt like I was stealing beer for years paying just $10 for Arthur and Anna.

I'm more than fine paying $12. Those two beers are worth far more to me.

    Just my extra 2 dollars.

    Not a bad pre-dinner brew

The one staff member I really interacted with (Courtney? I totally missed her name) seemed truly so excited to be back and open, think that brief hiatus did them good. Cheers!

Unless the farmstead beers are going into barrels, they really are not that expensive to brew and package. I will agree that all the HF regulars are great and are still worth it at 12 bucks, but this self flagellation over a "low" price of beer is bizarre. Hell, at Cantillon, they sell lambics for less than 10 bucks .

I was there a few minutes past opening, six cars in front and took about 15 minutes to get my order and head out. They apologized for the wait, which was unnecessary (the apology, that is)

Hi everyone, Midwesterner here with a dumb question. My fiance and I have luckily been vaccinated. We were throwing around the idea of a road trip to Vermont in September with the idea being to visit Hill Farmstead, barring covid worsening dramatically. If anyone was to speculate wildly, do you think they’ll reopen by then? I know they just reopened for to go and did allude to potentially reopening in the summer. We plan on self quarantining before and after traveling just to be as safe as possible

I don't know if you read the last couple of pages at all or the article in Seven Day VT (it was linked in one of the main forums as well), but Shaun seems hesitant to reopen the taproom this year. I would say unlikely, but you never know.

Keep the plan alive as the Northeast Kingdom is a beautiful place to visit. Plenty of spots will possibly/likely have more draft options available now that they are back open. Plus, can always find a spot somewhere to have a picnic and enjoy the curbside offerings covertly, respectfully.

As @Sheppard points and Shaun is quoted in the article, “I do not envision the taproom reopening in
    2021.”
