Last years ticket hold overs get first dibs on weekend selection? And still planning on having the surprise or gift or whatever it was for people holding over?

So i heard you guys wanted a sneak peek on this Donut Box. This has been in the making for a couple years now. Some cool packaging and some cool merch to come with it and of course some amazing liquid.

Very sharp! Gonna dump a bunch of crumbs in the bottom for effect?

Actually, a handful of uncrushed grain would be hilarious... But probably create rodent issue.

Any of the base beers ones we've seen before or all new?

Social media just announced the April beers. I didn't seen any email unless I missed it.

    Oh good. More stouts.

I'm being facetious, these sound yummy... Though the ratio of stouts to non-stouts does continue to feel high.

Flavors from different barrels is more exciting to me than flavors from adjuncts. This barrel series box is a dream come true for me haha.

Between Bottle Logic's Fundamental Coordinates series dropping this week and now a surprise BT Box, I was NOT expecting Orange County breweries to go so hard for my birth week. My wallet is crying, but I will shoulder this burden and purchase all the beer...

I'm still waiting for more anniversary variants like all the Sucre releases.

I got another one: when folks are drinking big BA beers, one of the first things a lot of us will comment on is either that "it's boozy but super mellow" or "it's really harsh/ethanoly." How much of this is caused by the ABV (or something else) in the base beer vs caused by the barrel and/or aging process? And, why does the harshness sometimes mellow with cellaring?

Related: I'm sure a brewer/blender never aims for the harsh ethanol effect, but is the warm/boozy but not harsh something that is achieved purposefully, or would every brewer/blender make every big BA beer "dangerously smooth and drinkable" every time if they could?
