I'm at home cooking Greek style chicken on the grill in a 82 Farenheit, bright sunny day, is Spring over already? It would seem Summer is here.
I'm drinking a Edward Teach Black Spot Lager, one of the best Schwarzbiers that I think I've ever had. Malty like a good Stout, refreshing with a very clean finish.
    Excellent for the style.
    Cheers!

I must be getting old. Just one hour of working in the yard and I was beat. This lager brewed by Kona is very refreshing.

Got some goodies to enjoy this Saturday for the online tasting in honor of @scream. His favorite beer and the bourbon he busted my chops over. I know I will be tempted to crack into one or both before Saturday.

“resinous hops reminiscent of stone fruit with a spicy finish”

this is true. One of my favorite NJ ipas. This one is tough. It runs a bit hot. But I like a lot and if I may be so inclined to share an article I wrote about this beer you can find it here ....

    1916 SHORE SHIVER

I used to dabble you know. If that’s ok with the mods. I know osgood and Ron also dabble so. It’s old. I don’t benefit off it. Just a share. But lmk if I did well.

    cheers all

Nicely chilled always works depending on the temperature, which would be about what in your neck of Mississippi this time of year?

We got lucky all around today. I think this one may have turned out the best precisely because of those clouds. Cheers!

[IMG] Tonight’s Blind Battle Beers (all correctly identified blindly):

    1) Harp Lager (4.5%): An Irish Lager from Guinness with smooth malts and Munich bread, honey, & corn malt flavors.
    versus
    2) Dos Equis Lager (4.2%) : A Mexican lager that has nice and light, but crisp toasted cracker flavors with hints of lemon and grassy hops.

    3) New Glarus’ Moon Man Pale Ale (5.0%): A pale ale from Wisconsin with flavors of tangerine, stonefruit, and caramelized pine.
    versus
    4) Sierra Nevada’s Pale Ale (5.6%): An old school west coast pale ale with orange and pine soap flavors.

    5) Summit EPA (5.3%): An English Pale Ale from Minnesota with fantastic flavors of
    versus
    6) Sierra Nevada’s Celebration Ale (5.6%): a late in the season fresh hop ipa for the wintertime. This one has notes of

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Winners:

    1) Harp Lager: This one has an authentic malt flavor and finishes smooth.

3&4) Moon Man Pale Ale: First time one this one, but it has traditional west-coast flavors. Not sure it beats Sierra Nevada, but comparable.

    6) Summit Extra Pale Ale: This English Pale has such smooth and malty orange, caramel, and dank flavors while drinking incredibly smooth. Celebration isn't worse, but a different beer.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Have you tried New Glarus Moon Man and do you think it is a good pale ale? As good as Sierra Nevada Pale Ale?
Do you think English Pale Ales such as Summit EPA are a good style and should more breweries make more of them?

...and the current tune-age is now the Drive By Truckers (Go Go Boots) but Miles Davis 'Miles In Tokyo' was the CD prior to this...and then getting into @champ103 's Paul Simon tangent also resonated...and then Yes' connection also intertwined with the synapses...

Well, I'm mentally jazzing...and so it goes...Sam Rivers and Jason Isbell via Paul Simon and Chris Squire...no positive sense yet positively sensible...
